Assassin's Creed Syndicate from Ubisoft lets you set the difficulty yourself by using ingenuity to defeat overleveled enemies, great emergent design.
Nice read. It was a really good game. The zip lining was so over the top ridiculous and yet fun as hell. "Templars trying to assassinate Karl Marx? Why, I can draw attention away with a scuffle while I stab each would-be assassin in the back ever so silently." About those historical figure driven side missions though. Some of them were just horrible. My favorite was when Karl Marx had me (potentially) burn down a building full of workers, including children, to find a report housed inside that exposed dirt on a company for......mistreating their employees. Ironic.
Only Assassins game I have not played.
You should try it out.
