BY JOHN SANTINA: I’m about to show my age a bit here: I first started playing Pokemon games way back with Pokemon Blue. Few video game worlds and characters are as vivid in my mind as the 2D sprites from the Pokemon game that started the phenomenon.
Pokemon Blue and Red are still charming games to look at, with or without nostalgia. The sprites of the different Pokemon managed to convey not just their different physical appearances, but also what the temperaments would be when they finally appeared in the TV series.
Recent Pokemon games have brought full 3D graphics, sure, but they just haven’t captured the magic that my imagination conjured up when looking at those original 2D sprites.
Fortunately, DeviantArt artist Cortoony has managed to capture what made the first generation Pokemon sprites so special while turning them into 3D sprites. Check these out.
Looking for a Star Wars game to play for Star Wars Day? The PSN Store Weekend Offer has the most recent releases from the IP.
The Epic Games Store continues their giving ways this week with a space shooter.
After the recent Xbox hardware and software price hike, Microsoft may be looking to increase the Game Pass subscription fee.
They absolutely will they always drop bad news right before the June showcase I bet they are waiting until after doom to do it.
Already one leaker hinting at it
MS buying up some of the industries biggest publishers, IP's and removing competition between major publishers means $80 games are here. This is MS saying to gamers, f**k you pay me if you want to keep playing the IP's you love.
This is what happens when more and more is owned by fewer and fewer and it's not going to stop at $80. No doubt now MS has opened the flood gates others will follow.
Thanks MS for endless proving that you're the worst.
The tarrifts should not impact subscription costs it is already high as it is right now.
Everything is going to go up. MS only 6 months ago or so changed GP where you needed ultimate if you want all day 1 games. Wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the year they raise the price to $25-$30. Wouldn't be surprised if Sony also raise the price of ps+ and Nintendo doing it for their sub.
The price adjustments were justified,by them, because of trump's tariffs. Is game pass also affected by tariffs, it's a survive not a end product?
