Easy to set up and use, the DUALSHOCK 4 Back Button Attachment is a fantastic addition to one of the best controller designs out there.
COG writes: It might not be necessary, but the Dual Shock 4 Back Button Attachment makes some games' tricky control schemes much more approachable on a standard pad.
Checked Amazon the other day and prices are anywhere from one hundred nineteen dollars to one hundred fifty dollars. People are price gouging like crazy, I'm think stores have them in stock right now, but this lockdown due to the virus makes it near impossible to try and go get one.
Looks really cool. I'm guessing their adding this so it will be compatible to the PS5? Anyways nice addition.
Buttons, and plenty of 'em. At first glance, the PS4 DualShock controller might seem to have this brief covered, but you can never have too many buttons, right?
Been using this in MHW as the dpad buttons to be able to scroll items while having full control of movement and the camera. It takes a couple of days to get used to but once you get the hang of the new buttons there's no turning back.
It is sold out everywhere near me. I did place one on order. Cant wait to try it on Apex Legends. Was close to buying a scuf but this will do I am not a professional gamer haha.
Unfortunately got me when I went to pick mine up from my local Gamestop they were going out of business. They had none in stock and most of their inventory sold off at 70% for both new and used games.
I still haven't picked one up yet, but plan to do so soon. My question is, how easy is it to detach the device from the controller? I use a charging dock set up for my controllers and Moves, which uses the same port as the back button attachment. I don't want to accidently damage either the attachment or controller trying to remove it to charge.
Looking forward to using this in Borderlands 3 with my melee-based Amara build. Having to use R3 as my main source of damage output has already given me mild repetitive strain injury on at least one occasion...
It's awesome. Such a simple solution and works flawlessly. Why they didn't release it sooner, though?
Get ready because the DualShock 4 Back Button Attachment is hitting retailers ahead of its official release date of January 23rd.
Picked one up at my local Walmart for $25. Pretty nice but takes some getting use to. I end up pressing the buttons accidentally from gripping the controller.
I wish MS would offer something like this for Xbox One controller rather than having to buy an Elite. Wonder if some third parties may come up with something.
$30 for extra features leagues better than spending $180 for a controller. There’s no denying that. Especially when the $180 option has quality issues.
Early reports are saying that the users are pressing the buttons by accident, total disaster for the PS5. Almost as bad as removing rumble from Dual Shock 3 to put motion controls in.
I really like it, I used it for several hours on MW. Took awhile to get used to using them but after a few rounds it was great. I swapped them with the L3 & R3 buttons, this makes Melee and running easier also Holding Breath when Sniping.
I'm a lefty whose been playing shooters standard for years. Decided recently to finally switch to southpaw for better aim. These have helped by standardizing buttons like jump and crouch that can get messed up when you switch the sticks but the face buttons don't change (e.g. games with free running and sliding). So far they've held up well and they feel good. Took a little time to get used to but I'd recommend them for anyone interested. Cheaper than most alternatives too.
