With their eyes firmly on the future, Nintendo's Shuntaro Furukawa and Shigeru Miyamoto had a lot to say about the company going forward.
A year packed with major releases for Xbox consoles, PC and Game Pass.
ninja Gaiden being released 8 days apart is insane MS hasn't learned anything with shoulder to shoulder releases. October 29 for Outer Worlds and October 21 for Ninja Gaiden. These games now range from 60 to 80$. Yalls audience might GP it but other platforms have to buy it and your average person won't shell out that kinda money a week apart.
I count 7 original multiplatform IPs, which were ultimately bought and are now published by Microsoft.
Sigh.
During a livestream on his personal Twitch channel, Rob Wiethoff (who voices John Marston in the Red Dead Redemption series) hinted at "exciting news" to be revealed next week. According to Wiethoff, the news will be announced "before Friday".
PS5/Pro/Switch 2 version of RDR2 seems most likely. I’d love a RDR3 but that seems years away
Their contracts are iron clas if they leak anything legit they are threatened with immense legal action.
My hopes for what this is are minimal its probably a meet and greet with the cast
I dont see why they would be involved in a upgraded version of rdr2 when the dialogue hasn't changed
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 developers discuss the huge success of Space Marine 2 and its effect on the series as a whole.
I’ll get Space Marine 2 when it’s cheaper. I don’t pay more than half price for short games.
I don't think that either the Series X or the PS5 will hurt Nintendo sales. At most they will make third parties less inclined to port their stuff to the Switch.
What Nintendo will have to deal with going foward is streaming. But it will take a couple of years to it become a threat. And when it finally reach that point is likely that Nintendo would already had moved past the Switch.
Wait so now they’re not competing because they’re too different?
So like I thought, the Switch is a portable and should be compared to Vita 3DS etc..
Nintendo is on a different segment of the market. The Switch is more a handheld device than a console. They have an audience that love their exclusive games which is what matters.
Microsoft couldn't compete against Nintendo and now they are shamefully moving away to compete with lesser subscriptions companies as Google and Amazon.
Switch sales will not stop with the release of PS5 but they will certainly decrease due to the new hardware available, to counteract this I see them releasing a Switch Pro/2 sometime in the future.
