Today Ubisoft announced its financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2019-20, related to the period between October 1 and December 31.
Yves Guillemot was the guy that wrongly said that 92% of pc players pirate their games, he should apologize for that stupid statement he made years back. It really painted the pc players in the wrong light.
That was when Microsoft was trying to kill pc gaming, the rise of mobile OS made them change their mind.
Back in the early days (80's), this was probably true. Cracked software was everywhere, hardly anyone payed for games back then.

It has been like that all this gen. Now imagine Ubisoft putting their games day one on gamepass. They would loose all this big sale numbers.
They have their own sub service. Don't know if it's on console yet though. They have no reason to put their games on gamepass, just like any other 3rd party publisher
