There is something endearing about an innocently weak and somewhat goofy hero. Like Luigi, I think that Abe from Oddworld fits this persona and he is one of the greatest characters because he strength isn't blind bravery. These guys swallow their fear and just get to it. But if they get a little ahead they feel really proud and I'd like to see more characters like this.
