Resident Evil – Code: Veronica remake will need more changes than RE2 & RE3 combined

It seems like a Resident Evil - Code: Veronica remake might be next in line. However, that title will need more changes than RE2 and RE3 combined to fit in with Capcom's new vision for the series.

Personally this is the game they could remake and retell to start a new line of games

I think it makes more sense Leon going to rescue Claire since in the games it’s stated he finds out and tells Chris she’s been kidnapped.

Leon basically thinks “I’ve told her brother, he’ll deal with it” and honestly with the shit they’ve been through and knowing the awful things Umbrella can do to people he should have set out himself, not wasting a second.

Unfortunately Re2make didn't capture the connection between Leon and Claire well. I dont know why they were leaving each other notes. I missed so much when og Claire yelled "Leon!" with relief in a stars office in the original.
As for re:CV? This game would need so much change. Starting with the awful intro when Claire is chased by the mercenaries to the over the top bombastic music.

I get what you mean, I missed that but I still think they became close friends after the events that happened.

I just think a man like Leon who knows about the monstrosities that Umbrella does to people with their experiments wouldn't be that relaxed if he found out his friend got caught by them and held in a secret island base, would he really find out where Claire is being held and just decides to tell Chris so he can handle it? He should have been straight on a boat to the Island to find her himself, not waste time getting in contact with Chris so someone else can do it.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be all for a Chris and Barry having a cameo in the end or something, maybe change the ending so Chris comes in a Helicopter with Barry piloting it.

Plus I would like them to keep Alexia alive so she can be Leon and Claires villain while Wesker would be STARS. They'd just need to give her more screen time within the game and limit Weskers, kind of how he was only briefly seen in Resident Evil 4 talking to Ada.

Hell maybe Ada could be incorporated into the game, a re-telling / remake would be fantastic.

Nah fam, that game needs the Redfields, not some cameo from Chris tossed in at the last second. I mean, Claire went looking for Chris. Why would he be reduced to a tertiary character and not be involved, especially when it's his sister on the line?

Why do all these remakes need such BIG changes ? I think all's they really need is, Upgrade the Graphics (of cause) fix the controls so they are more smooth and maybe add a couple bonus things in game like new guns or something or an extra mission or something.

No need to make these drastic changes. I loved the old Resident evil 2 but they changed it so much with the remake i didnt even recognise it and didnt even bother to play it.

Capcom hasn't said anything about even the possibility of this being remade. Odds are we'll see Dino Crisis 1 and 2 as well as Viewtiful Joe remade before we see this game remade.

Considering how they've stated they want to explore their older IPs, we might actually get it! That's also why it's going to be a long time before we get another "Resi Remake" after Nemesis. Capcom wants to explore their catalogue of games, not just focus solely on one franchise.

Code veronica was by far the worst of the old school resi games. As much as i dislike parts of resi 4 its easy to see why fresh thinking was needed after code veronica. So yeah a lot of upgrades would need to be made for it.

I didn't like Code Veronica at all. In fact, the game made me mad enough to throw it off a bridge 😂. I did grab it on a digital sale recently hoping to play and complete it. It's the only one I haven't

conserve your amo, dont get discouraged if you have no more amo, dont try to kill every single zombie, run past and dodge them, before you know it you'll reach a new area that has some amo and health packs. Only use your amo when you absolutely need to. Don't use you're amo on the reptile enemies, they're too hard too kill and are not worth using all your amo, run past them.

I also wasn't able to beat it the first time as a kid, I would get too frightened and discouraged when running out of amo😅

Says you. I was able to knife a Hunter to death. That's not something I've attempted in any other RE game. If you knife for most of the early game you won't have much of a problem conserving ammo.
