TheHDRoom - Animal Crossing: City Folk Wii Review

"For players like my wife and her friend, Animal Crossing: City Folk is a disappointment. It is a lazy effort which lacks innovation and continues to spin the same old song and dance. Nintendo's failure to capitalize on the same innovation Wii is built upon is a crime. The story has "been done" and there is not much incentive to play the new version unless you threw out your old GameCube and just wanted to kick it "old school-style." left 4 dead is on par with goldeneye for N64

goldeneye for N64 was GROUNDBREAKING. n64 had alot of huge titles. but besides that, left4dead is a valve title, it looks flawless compared to games liek resistance 2 with its constantly breaking seams and garbage gunfire. or that annoying click you hear when you throw a gernade.

the 60 player online, i could do on MOST games on the PC. its not new. In fact, its just mindless.

all a matter of opinion; Ive played left 4 dead and R2 and I much prefer R2

true and yet..........360 hasnt been able to do it; I thought live was flawless? and let me guess; when MS releases a game that has 60+ players like Huxley (if it ever sees the light of day) you will praise the MP lol

thanks man I DO enjoy it! hope you enjoy your 4 player co op on l4d and 2 player co op on Gears 2; while I enjoy my 8 player co op on R2

I was looking forward to City Folk, but it looked exactly like this review is painting it: a merging of the Gamecube title and WW. Such a pity.

I am not a hater, I like Nintendo, and I like my Wii just fine, it gets just as much play from me as my 360 and PS3 gets, but the low scores this game is getting are justified. If you already played either of the first two games, you will probably be let down. If I was new to the series, I am certain I would be having a blast, but in all honesty after a full day of playing I found myself both disappointed and somewhat bored. If I was new to the series I might feel differently, but since I have already played the first two titles to death this feels like the same old same old. Still it had enough to hold my interest for a full day, I just don't expect it will hold it for too much longer.

What the hell is he talking about. Lazy as opposed to the Wii? That's a new one. The Wii is yet another lazy Nintendo effort.
