-The mission “Better to Light One Candle” bounty should able be obtained properly

Nicely job there ThisGen.

TGGJustin1914d ago

These came from the developer so blame them for the incorrect parts.

StoneyYoshi1913d ago

Whoever wrote the article could have easily changed one word and added one. So yes, Nice job there TGG.

TheEnigma3131913d ago

yes because every game since last gen hasn't had patches fixing the game.

porkChop1913d ago

Those are the actual patch notes though.

FTLmaster1914d ago

That’s pretty cool. As someone with an OG launch PS4 with a paltry 500gb to play with, I appreciate this.

KwietStorm_BLM1914d ago

You haven't swapped your hard drive or used an external in all that time?

solideagle1913d ago

lol there is a function called "Delete", that's how we use our 500 GB :)

nucky641913d ago

i've never swapped mine out and i'm having no issues.

CobraKai1913d ago

Neither have I. I just keep my currently playing games on the drive and delete the rest. Pain in the ass? Sure. But it works.

The_Sage1913d ago

I still have PT on my original 500 gig drive. I have a 2 terabyte drive installed.

Nacho_Z1913d ago

Same here, wish more games did the same. I suppose the benefit is that it helps keep your backlog to a minimum because you need to finish and delete something before you get something new.

iplay1up21913d ago (Edited 1913d ago )

I picked up a 2TB drive for $79 for my PS4. I just finally got one this Christmas. The drive I bought is already pretty full.

FTLmaster1913d ago

It’s fairly easy to delete stuff I’m not playing from my drive. It just hasn’t been a big deal for me, honestly.

darthv721913d ago (Edited 1913d ago )

I too have an og launch PS4 but I upgraded my stock 500gb to a firecuda 1tb. I think what turns off so many when it comes to upgrading is the time involved with backing up and then restoring. the actual process of opening and replacing the drive is like 5 minutes.

But the backup time can be hours... even if the 500gb wasnt that full (mine only had like 4 games installed to it). I just let it do the backup to an external 750gb drive and it took something like 7 hours so I let it run overnight. In the morning I swapped drives, installed the OS from a thumbdrive and then ran the restore (another many hours). I appreciate the ability to upgrade drives (as I've done on the PS3 as well) but honestly its way easier to 'add to' instead of replace. Adding a 2tb external to the xbo was like 30 seconds. Plug in, format and... bam!

Next gen I can imagine both will go the same route for expandable storage via external. Because of the nature of the internal SSD (on both) you can prob guess that Sony will not support upgrades but instead only allow add-on.

Rhythmattic1914d ago

Quite incredible post launch support....And it should be...
Lot of Developers should take note.

lifeisgamesok1914d ago

I've spent so many hours in survival mode.

Altogether I probably have about 250 hours in this game

jeromeface1913d ago

what difficulty do you recommend first time through?

lifeisgamesok1913d ago

@Jeromeface I play all of my games on normal starting out then I might up the difficulty on the 2nd or 3rd playthrough

SmielmaN1913d ago

It’s such a great game in so many ways. So under rated.

King_Noctis1913d ago

Post Launch support is great. But what every developer should aim for is a complete game at launch with little to no bugs.

SyntheticForm1913d ago

People disagree with this...

Rhythmattic1890d ago

SyntheticForm
I disagree, though you are correct.

1913d ago
SmielmaN1913d ago

I know a lot of commenters shat on this game but it’s been the most played game with me and my boys since it came out and I get every major game sent to me day 1.

This game was so much fun for me, and them, and I really hope we get a Days Gone 2. It’s such a good game we have done multiple play throughs since launch.

A severely under rated game.

Rimeskeem1914d ago

More devs need to do this. If a game reaches over 100 gigs right now it is usually poorly condensed. Like why the hell is CoD MW 130 gigs? Why is Destiny 2 like 100? If Naughty Dog can get Uncharted 4 down to 50 gigs and keep TLOU2 from going over 100 gigs (2 bluray discs can only mean up to 100 gigs) then CoD and Destiny can be less than 100 gigs each.

TGGJustin1914d ago

Yeah CoD MW taking up that much space is kind of absurd when you compare it to some other games on PS4 that are under half the size.

Teflon021914d ago

Yeah, MW is still the most BS thing. That file size is SOOO unacceptable

specialguest1913d ago

I still remember the article posted on N4G about MGS4 having a 5gb installation. We all thought that was extreme lol

franwex1913d ago

Hahaha. Yep. But some hdds were 20 gigs.

That’s like having a game close to launch this gen that’s 100 gigs, rather than at the end.

MasterCornholio1913d ago (Edited 1913d ago )

That game took forever to install. Spent so much time watching snake smoke. But I've seen worse on the PS4.

I’m sick of Sony’s money-grabbing remasters that repackage old games with a resolution bump and expect long time fans to pay for it. That’s why I’m so glad Microsoft will be introducing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to a new generation, so they can see what quality gameplay really is. I can’t wait to go back. Xbox 🫡

S2Killinit5d ago

What a stupid comment. Nobody is forced to buy it. There are people who havent played the game and they now have a PS5. Why cant Sony update its SINGLE PLAYER games and sell it to people who want it? Get the fudge out of here with that BS.

5d ago
StormSnooper5d ago

@Magavody
I have to agree with s2kill here. And if MS had games like days gone then they should also get to remaster them for new generations to enjoy.

Ps5conehead5d ago

Then do not buy it. Your always complaining about cost

Knushwood Butt5d ago

I'll be getting this. It's only a few quid for me.
Not sure why but I bought the original game on disc and sold it, then played the digital game catalogue version on PS5, and this seems to qualify me for the discount version of the remaster. I'll take that!

VenomUK4d ago (Edited 4d ago )

@Ps5conehead You must have me confused with someone else as I'm not always complaining about costs.

@S2Killinit 'Why cant Sony update its SINGLE PLAYER games and sell it to people who want it?' I agree. I was ironically, attempting, to highlight the people who have been critical of Sony for its remasters last year yet are jumping through hoops at the prospect of the Oblivion remaster. I mean, I will either play or buy Oblivion. I've played a bit of Days Gone on PS4 and what I played I enjoyed, but will wait for a discount with this one.

Seeing the number of those who disagreed with my comment shows the stupidity of some people. I did you a favour of not clicking on the site for the answer, everyone hate clickbaits.

Either ways, I have zero interests in zombie games. I know this games is very popular on playstation. Even though it's a remastered, nothing going to prevent people from buying it.. Sony knew that

pwnmaster30006d ago

If you’re gonna remaster then make a sequel.

CrimsonWing695d ago

I mean, that’s sort of why some of these Remasters exist. It’s a cheap way to get a quick buck and gauge interest in the IP for whether or not they’ll take a risk funding development for a sequel. If this doesn’t sell then that f*cks any chance for a sequel.

mkis0075d ago

If the remaster sells well enough it will force Sony's hand, even if they didn't want to make it before. This release proves they are at least open to the idea. If the remaster sells, say 10 million, across pc and ps5, they would HAVE to make a sequel; internal opinion be damned.

If you're gonna make toast then cook a banquet...

badz1495d ago

Let's hope we don't get another situation like Dead Space. Remastered, released, not sold well enough, canned forever! (ToT)

ReelBigMike5d ago

Bend Studio wanted to do a sequel, but Sony rejected their pitch. I loved this game and can't wait for the remaster so I'm hoping it can spark enough interest for one, but I'm not optimistic.

IRetrouk2d ago

Sony didn't reject it, the studio heads did.

leemo195d ago

I hope so too, but knowing Sony they will f it up if they do make sequel, since both John Garvin and Jeff Ross gone. Sony can't help themselves with changing or adding dumb ideas with some of the sequels to their franchises. John Garvin and Jeff Ross comeback, only way the sequel will be good.

My second favorite game last gen but not buying because it’s just laziness at this point. We want new games and not same old things

S2Killinit5d ago

I dont think its aimed at you. There are many people who have PS5s and didnt play this on PS4. Nothing wrong with giving them a next gen update of a great game.

LiViNgLeGaCY5d ago

Well, get ready, then. In 10 years you most likely won't be playing games anymore.

MetroidFREAK214d ago

In 10 years, Ill be 43 with multiple kids with my wife. I'm sure I'll still be gaming. I plan on showing them games I grew up with. Regardless, I bought the PS4 version of Days Gone a few weekends ago on disc (even found the revised 1.61 version) because they weren't releasing this physically. Every other remaster got one... why is this one digital exclusive? Makes no sense

autoglope5d ago

Amazing game,.. Really don't see the reason for remaster so soon,.. Looks and plays amazing as is,..

Cacabunga3d ago

Greed and laziness.. there you have it
