Plus physical release confirmed for Switch version in Japan.
The Games Cabin writes:
"I am always enamored by the experimental gameplay elements of Japanese RPGs. Developers are continuously looking for new ways to transform the classic monotonous formula of turn-based battles into something more interesting and fun. The new innovations do not always hit home, but a game such as Little Town Hero is full of noteworthy ideas that we hope other JRPG developers are made aware of and are taking notes on what should be done to make the gaming experience more enjoyable for everyone."
Playasia’s Lunar New Year Sale 2021 is now live. It runs from February 8, 2021 until February 28, 2021.
This looks fun for Switch players and now we have a new gameplay trailer to show off what fans can expect.
I’d be more excited if this game was actually more substantial
This game turned out to be such an underwhelming title from such a prolific developer, I’m surprised this didn’t get as much controversy as Sword & Shield garnered.
Pulseman, Drill Dozer, HarmoKnight, & Tembo the Badass Elephant show that the developer can produce great games outside of Pokémon, but they dropped the ball with Little Town Hero in so many ways that it’s appalling.
It’s especially egregious because LTH is the biggest budget non-Pokémon game in Game Freak’s history. Giga Wrecker Alt didn’t dare that much better either. These freaks need to step up their game.
2019 was not a kind year for the developer as all three of the games released last year didn’t fully live up to their potential. It seems they spread themselves too thin across these three projects and it shows. Most of their team was focused on LTH and that ended up being a mess, which diverted attention away from Pokémon S&S which also resulted in its own issues, which meant that GWA had the least attention and it wasn’t even much of a blip on the radar.
Sony fans can’t complain now you getting a game from people who work for Nintendo
This game was a big let down for me but some fun can be had with it
This is something to get excited for. Not for the game itself, but Gamefreak moving away from what they're most comfortable with. They needa get a better feel for making console games, unless they're not the ones working on the port then nvm
