The Bayonetta games are banging
Can't wait for 3!!!!
Love bayo games, getting the remaster that comes out in feb, will be the best looking bayo ever. Might spoil the third one for me but I’m sure the third will look decent enough.
So basically...if you enjoy Nier Automata...there is a good chance you will like other hack and slash games... YOU DON'T SAY!
Idiots at twinfinite. I opened the article expecting games with philosophical themes and decent action but I set the expectation bar wayyy too high. I just got hack n salshes. These stupid people are the reason general masses tend to lump games that might not even be RPGs into RPGs.
Some of these games would require me to buy a different system just to play them. No thanks.
Your avatar checks out. Broke boy
Oh shit, you got me. Shhhhh let's keep this between us, okay $1.50 A Slice Plain Cheese Pizza Boy?
I bought this game, can’t remember why though and just couldn’t get into it. Maybe I’ll give it another shot l. I’m currently playing dmc 5 but I just don’t see the connection between both games, NieR was more exploring? If I remember right? I would probably put it more along sekiro?!
they put dmc5 in their article? Glad i didnt click
yes they did and now that I think about it more I don't think this person play any of the games they listed lol
Nier Automata is nothing like the games mentioned in this poor article. Nier is a game that is more about narrative and themes surrounding humanity, equality and even race, all wrapped up in a cool action RPG package. Games like Bayonetta are much more about gameplay and technique, and while they still have good stories, that isn't the primary focus of the game. Its quite lazy on the part of the writer of this article to suggest that the games have anything in common other than Platinum Games involvement. Sekiro, for me, is different again from Nier or Bayonetta, it's quite difficult to pigeon hole the game as it has many cool RPG elements but is definitely combat orientated, but also has a tremendous story. All the games in this comment section a fantastic, but for differing reasons.
lmao.. yea the list is def. weird
I was thinking are there games more similar than not to Nier? Not in this article
Just completed Code Vein...loved it but its not like NieR
None of these are similar in any way other than the underlying genre.
Dmc 5 sucked Bayonetta was ass Nier automa was crap Didnt try astral chains Code vein was amazing
Nier was not "crap"
Dude, don't even bother.Guy's a total troll. If you go into his profile, like, half his comments are banned for being inappropriate. As for the article, yeah, it's dumb as fuck. If someone plays Nier: Automata and the most they get out of it is "Kewl fights and booty!", they seriously lack a lot of imagination. N:A's an excellent cyberpunk/post-apocalyptic story with compelling characters, and few games have as AMAZING worldbuilding as it does. The world and its people, their cultures and the ruins of the old world that used to be our own, they all come together with a deep, thoughtful story to make for a seriously underappreciated game.
It wasn't "crap" but it was meh or should I say not my type of game, as I found it very boring.
love nier. wish made another one or ninja gaiden
I would love a new ninja gaiden
Besides maybe the first Nier there’s really nothing like Automata.
I won't say that Anima: Gate of Memories is a great game but I will say that it is more like Nier than any of these games.
This is like when you watch Deathnote on Netflix, and Netflix suggests every damn anime it has l including foodwars and Fairlytail "Because you like Deathnote"
I was thinking of trying Nier Automata, and seeing DMC there would put me off if I didn't know better.
Its okay, apparently OP is dumb
