The Bayonetta games are banging

gamer78041967d ago

Love bayo games, getting the remaster that comes out in feb, will be the best looking bayo ever. Might spoil the third one for me but I’m sure the third will look decent enough.

So basically...if you enjoy Nier Automata...there is a good chance you will like other hack and slash games...

YOU DON'T SAY!

Idiots at twinfinite. I opened the article expecting games with philosophical themes and decent action but I set the expectation bar wayyy too high.

I just got hack n salshes. These stupid people are the reason general masses tend to lump games that might not even be RPGs into RPGs.

Some of these games would require me to buy a different system just to play them. No thanks.

I bought this game, can’t remember why though and just couldn’t get into it. Maybe I’ll give it another shot l. I’m currently playing dmc 5 but I just don’t see the connection between both games, NieR was more exploring? If I remember right? I would probably put it more along sekiro?!

UnSelf1967d ago

they put dmc5 in their article?

Glad i didnt click

Xb1ps41967d ago

yes they did and now that I think about it more I don't think this person play any of the games they listed lol

Nier Automata is nothing like the games mentioned in this poor article.

Nier is a game that is more about narrative and themes surrounding humanity, equality and even race, all wrapped up in a cool action RPG package. Games like Bayonetta are much more about gameplay and technique, and while they still have good stories, that isn't the primary focus of the game.

Its quite lazy on the part of the writer of this article to suggest that the games have anything in common other than Platinum Games involvement.

Sekiro, for me, is different again from Nier or Bayonetta, it's quite difficult to pigeon hole the game as it has many cool RPG elements but is definitely combat orientated, but also has a tremendous story.

All the games in this comment section a fantastic, but for differing reasons.

Xb1ps41967d ago

lmao.. yea the list is def. weird

jznrpg1967d ago

I was thinking are there games more similar than not to Nier? Not in this article

im not sure if they "saved" it, but Taro definitely shook things up with the story telling that hes so infamous for.

especially in times when free to play model was at its peak in gaming.

FinalFantasyFanatic64d ago

I never really felt that way, but I really enjoyed NieR: Automata, I made sure to get all the endings.

jznrpg64d ago

I’m not sure about that but it was good to have and hope we get more games from Yoko Taro that aren’t mobile
