2024 so far has been challenging in the industry. This is a good time to take stock of last year's performance to gauge demand-side conditions and what direction consumer spending is going in the UK when it comes to full games (games that are paid for upfront).
"Although physical disc spending has continued to slip since 2021, the rate of the decline had slowed. Between 2021 and 2022, spending declined by 4% to £496 million but between 2022 and 2023, spending declined by just 2% to £487 million."

Microsoft has today released the third of four Xbox games currently announced for PS5, PS4 boxes: the online survival title Grounded. You can grab a digital copy now from the PS Store for £32.99 / $39.99, granting you access to the final Fully Yoked Edition, which Obsidian Entertainment says is the last content update the game will receive. One of the best survival games ever made imo. Will probably pick this up on PS5. PlayStation fans are in for a treat.
Nintendo has announced a new Indie World showcase for tomorrow, and it'll feature around 20 minutes of info about upcoming Switch indies.
