Gears of War was influenced by the over the shoulder control scheme in RE4. Gears of War then influenced other third person shooters. We owe a lot to RE4!

We do owe a lot to resi4,.. Mikami just made an incredible game,.. he gets what is fun very deeply. Probably one of the best games ever made. Think cover shooters owe more to Kill Switch though,..

Agree. That year I owned PS2 and Gamecube and picked RE4 on Gamecube as my GOTY. It's one of those memorable games that you remember where you were in your life when you played it.

Yup got rid of The survival horror genre gameplay Capcom created with the stationary cameras
