Twinfinite Writes: The Nintendo Switch has received a number of ports by this point, but there are still plenty of Wii U games that would be perfect for a port.
Xenoblade X is fantastic. Sadly I read last month Monolith wont bring it to Switch. That game needs to come to Switch or Switch 2. Switch 2 would be able to make everything better looking, on a already fantastic looking game. Not that Switch 2 has been announced.
100% agree, Xenoblade X is the main game I want brought to the switch, it would be perfect for it. I have its on wiiu but its a long game and would be great to play it anytime.
Twilight princess and Windwaker HD double pack plz
double yes please
I thought I read there is going to be a Wonderful 102....? And it would likely include the first game like how Bayo 2 included Bayo 1.
I’m surprised they haven’t remastered more GameCube, Wii & 3DS titles for the system yet
I really wanted them to have some kind of cartridge/USB C adapter that would allow you to slot your old 3DS/DS carts into the Switch and then just have the console emulate them. Given they've done very, very little with the older handheld titles, they could make a decent amount (and earn some goodwill) for just selling that bit of hardware. And giving you a way to play your existing games, even if just "as is", shouldn't hurt their port sales much if they opt for more. People who would want native controls or HD/upscaled textures would surely buy the remaster/port.
Switch doesn’t have dual screens so it wouldn’t be able to have a simple emulator. Remastered 3DS games would have to be reworked to function on Switch
They could do a lot of things. They could split the screen in half, and let you choose to have them be displayed either next to each other, or turn the console sideways and have them emulate the top/bottom screen like the 3DS. You could also have the option to hide one of the displays, assuming one of them wasn't necessary. A lot of games ended up not really using the second screen for more than like a map/inventory/etc typed use case. They could perhaps even let you tap a button to swap from one to the other if the hidden screen was only occasionally necessary to view. There are plenty of ways to display 3DS games on the Switch, and it seems it would be pretty easy to let the users dictate which way they like best by giving a small suite of display options.
Not really viable, especially considering you have to account how would you be able to play these dual screen games on docked mode, especially when many of them feature touch controls.
Bro...Metroid Prime Trilogy...WHERE IS IT?????? I NEED it
I just want Xenoblade X and Wonderful 101. Such great games, XCX has one of the best open worlds ever. W101 is one of PGs best games.
I would pay for a port of the first 2 Paper Mario games.
I want a paper mario collection so bad! The first one was the first turn based game I ever enjoyed.
I just want Xenoblade, Mario 3D World, Wonderful 101, and StarFox Zero. Bonus points for a Zelda HD collection port
Mario 3D World, Yoshi’s Woolly World and Star Fox Zero with updated actual controls are what I want.
I think one reason why XCX hasn't come to switch yet is because the original game utilized the screen screen feature for a lot of the gameplay. Like maps, inventory, node management... I don't really remember everything as it's been awhile. Having to Port that game over to a single screen experience would mean redoing the entire UI which is a full-time job in itself, and I doubt they want to spend the money because at that point it would no longer be a port or remaster, but a full on remake.
There was alot of gamepad screen only functions to tokyo mirage sessions too and look what happened. In game map can be put on the hud and everything else can just be in menus. This shouldn't be an excuse for them not being able to port the game over.
You're right. It shouldn't be an excuse. But sadly it is. At the end of the day nobody wants to spend the money to make it happen, and that's all there is to it. It's ashame because XCX is probably the best Chronicles game out of the 3 imo, and not may people got to experience it. Hopefully enough people pick up on XC Remake that it'll get Nintendo to open up their wallet a bit more.
I just want Twilight Princess HD to come to Switch guess I'll just have to find a decent Wii U on Ebay
But the wiiu had no games I thought? Where were all these Nintendo fans when they wiiu was out?
Xenoblade x, wind waker, and twilight princess hd is all I want.
I gave up hope long time ago for xenoblade chronicles x to come on switch.
The best Wii u port is the Wii u itself. The Wii u has been transforted into a switch. It’s the same system with a new cost of paint. Biggest let down if a system ever. Every switch game could have been done on Wii u, if it wasn’t in fact ported from Wii u to begin with.
All I want is Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Switch
I know I’m in the minority here...But Smash WiiU was actually rather good too. With Ultimate it is redundant I suppose.
I agree with everything but Xeno X. I was looking forward to it as a Xenoblade 2 but what I got was was just not what I wanted. This mental hype I had destroyed the possibility of me enjoying the game. Also I wanted a real protagonist. Down votes are a coming! lol
I'm sick that Metroid Prime Trilogy still hasn't come to the switch.... My hope for it is slowly dying...Damn you nintendo.
Why ya nintendo mfs wanna play the same old shit every gen. Buy new ips and support new adventures. Not the same old rehashed bs thats been remade 5 times.
