Black Desert Mobile Review | Hardcore Droid

Black Desert Mobile by Pearl Abyss is an excellent example of the level of quality that can be achieved in mobile game development. The title immediately hooks you with its stunning graphics. The character models and environments are beautiful and detailed. Players can choose from five classes. The Warrior and Giant classes are male only while the Witch, Ranger and Valkyrie classes are reserved for female characters. Despite the gender restrictions on classes, character customization is in-depth. By going into advanced mode, players can click and drag different regions of their character's face to create a unique looking avatar.

I just got this game and its actually really good. One of the best looking mobile games I have ever played, Im completely hooked and I am known for bad mouthing mobile games.

It does look great, but it feels both a bit shallow and a bit confusing. There are a million free gifts and currencies and materials that I can't seem to keep them all straight. And all I've done for the bit I've played is tap on the quest header, have it auto-navigate me to the quest, and then I mash buttons to kill stuff. I don't feel like the attacks are too varied in function, mostly just use what isn't on cooldown.

Still got it installed, will likely poke around a bit more. But was curious, how far are you into it? Does it get more interesting/require you to be a bit more involved than the earlier opening hours?

I agree with everything you said about this game but I am enjoying it so far. They do give you tons of free stuff but really its crafting and enhancing items. I am only level 20 so not that far but my camp is built up alot and I'm pretty powerful but the combat is fun for a mobile game.

I have moved thru the world on my own to explore and thru the auto quest feature, some like it some dont. I'm still early but this game is all about crafting, upgrading and great combat so I say give it some more time because the entire beginning of the game is basically a tutorial. The game is deep but you have to be certain levels to gain access to the better stuff, I believe this starts at level 15. Stick with it even though it is alot to take in.

The first couple of hours is just a tutorial which I am still in lol. I am level 20 and pretty powerful but things start opening up once you hit level 15. The free stuff is basically for crafting and enhancing stuff and it's sort of annoying until you figure out what it's really needed for.

The only reason I'm level 20 is because I explore alot and fight alot of enemies doing the dark challenges. I also level my camp up and hire people to do my bidding. The auto quest thing is good but you dont have to doit and just manually goto the locations which I do time to time. The combat is good to me for a mobile game but this is my first true mobile game that I played. Combat does get harder but you have to level up to really unlock all the modes and challenges to see what this game truly offers. I say stick with it at least to a higher level to unlock more stuff.

This game does throw a ton of things at you to learn at the beginning but it's a great game.
