Sucker Punch shared a holiday tweet that showed all of its characters gathering for a party, and it reminds us that we need a new Infamous game.
And a new Sly Cooper of course.
There is a special place in hell for those who "disagree," with the world needing another Sly Cooper game
Sly on PS4 would have looked insane.. Thieves in Time was a great game, the best in the series.. We need platformers!!! The headline is very misleading..
I guess I'm getting sent to hell because I don't care about Sly. Seems unjust. Life is rough.
@KwietStorm too bad mate. There is a special charm to those games, and if you can't find it, that's on you.
A next-gen Sly would also be fantastic.
Remaster infamous 1 and 2 please.
buy a ps3 or sub to psnow... lots of us want new entries.
You can have your new game without suggesting someone buy a whole platform or subscribe to a whole service, ironically neither of which offering the remaster they're asking for. Remastering an old game doesn't stop a new game from being made. I don't understand why people can't get this.
Deffo a good idea I believe in the ps3 days not a lot of new ps fans got to see this masterpiece Very underrated https://youtu.be/eYTHN3IKMh...
I wouldn't mind a new Infamous after Ghost of Tsushima but after Ghost I'll probably end up wanting a sequel
We need a new Sly Cooper game especially after the cliffhanger from the last one
We need new Sly Cooper more.
A sequel to thieves in time would be nice.
I honestly don't think they'll ever go back to SlyCooper. I think SuckerPunch has moved on. Similar to how Naughty Dog has moved on from Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter. And similarly to how Insomniac Games moved on from Spyro (and maybe Ratchet&Clank series as well, as some fans claim). All these companies have moved on to bigger projects. One of the things that makes this trio of developers so amazing is that they're always challenging themselves. If they continued making 3D platformers their whole careers, they wouldn't see that as "challenging themselves." These developers have a lot of potential, and setting their sights for a cartoony 3D platformer would be taking a step back (in their eyes). Naughty Dog was actually planning Jak4, but they scrapped the project entirely because they realized that they wanted to do bigger things. The development of Jak4 eventually lead to TLOU.
InFamous 3 please ^_^ Cole’s Return
Loved infamous 1&2 so much. Idk how and what went wrong with second son...
I want a follow up to Second son as soon as possible there are so many possibilities for the gameplay and story with a sequel I wouldn't mind if it was current gen.
I didn't need a reminder. Even though Second Son was too damn short, I'm still ready and waiting for a new Infamous.
We definitely need Infamous. Maybe as launch exclusive again?
Eh. new ip please
Yea keep it going. Dont revisit the old ips. I mean i dont feel any game should really go past 3 installments but i wanna see new stories get told.
I'd be happy with an inFamous Remaster as well. The first two games on PS3 were amazing and gorgeous but left much to be desired. Imagine how amazing they would look now in 4K and improved particles.
Am I the only one not excited for Ghost? I mean, there's tons of these games made by actual Japanese developers, I wanted a little more originality
Never doubt harry potter or star wars is a good series. Sure its fantastic. But they dont grab my attention at all. I cant keep my eyes open if you hold a gun to my head. This game has a very similar effect for me.
Please, nothing like that tech demo Second Son
Infamous on PS4 was a total let down, one of the first "next gen" games I played, It was as average and boring as they can be, it was crazy repetetive and the story just sucked.
Lulz. I agree, but a new Sly game would be wonderful.
Oh man Infamous on PS5 can't wait!
Infamous games are ones that I never touched or even thought about, after I did my good and evil playthroughs. I could use something else from them.
Nah, I'm good just Bring sly back. Not unless they are gonna go harder than a pg-13 game. The one thing I dislike about the infamous series is how family friendly it is given the theme and story.
Another Sly Cooper too. Let Sanzaru make it, Thieves in Time was fantastic, the let the main studio do another Infamous. They need to really go back to the drawing board on Infamous though.
Plated all 3 Infamous games and finished First Light. It's been long enough for a new Infamous. Hopefully after Ghost, they'll go back to the series with some new ideas.
I have yet to play First Light. I have had it sitting in my backlog for years :(
Give it a shot, it's pretty awesome. I actually like it more than Infamous 3, I just didn't want to do all of the challenges to get the plat.
It's those dumb challenges that have half put me off on playing. I can't stand that stuff.
The challenges aren't that tough. I kind of got into them and it stopped feeling like a chore.
I would not complain about another inFamous.
3 was awesome.
I would like to see a Infamous set in a fantasy setting. Think it could be cool!
nah , they just need to do an existing comic book ip
The pressure for a better Karma system may be too challenging of a task. Could this be why SuckerPunch is hesitant on releasing a new inFamous game? One of the most common complaints for inFamous 2nd Son was that the Karma system felt "outdated." If people wanted a more realistic Karma system, Sucker Punch would have to create multiple different cutscenes, choices, AI reactions, per player choice. For example, if you were to make a major decision early on in the game (Very Heroic, Slightly Heroic, Neutral, Slightly Evil, and Very Evil), then there would have to be those same options for every other major decision of the game. Not to mention, the developers would have to create AI that reacted differently to every different decision you made. Also, the game would have like 5 different endings. And the cutscenes would have to jive in conjunction with all previous decisions made by the player. For example, would the story still make sense if the player played as "very evil" throughout most of the game, and then decided to karma farm for "good karma" before the final decision of the game in order to achieve a good ending? Is this realistically possible for Sucker Punch? When I think about the competition such as Rockstar Games, I don't even think they do this with the GTA/Red Dead games. I don't recall any of those games having 5 different endings and 5 different player choices for every major decision in the game, along with AI that react differently depending on your karmic choices. So if the kings of open-world games like Rockstar doesn't do this, what makes people think that Sucker Punch will successfully pull it off? Yet people are still asking for an unrealistically dynamic karma system. And because of this, I think Sucker Punch is hesitant to release another game in the series. Because it'd be WAY too much work, especially for an infamous game. These games sold well enough, but not that well. If the games sold in similar numbers to GTA, maybe they'd be more inclined to drastically upgrade their engine.
