Hardcore Gamer: 2020 is set to mark important anniversaries for a number of popular titles from the last few decades of video games. Perhaps hitting such a big number is enough to bring us some sort of revival or sequel, but we’ll probably have to wait months before hearing anything. Super Mario Bros. 3 in the US 1990 30 years in 2020 :D

Hard to believe it's been that long. I remember my mom getting me that the year it came out. It was practically impossible to find, and apparently she saw them putting it on the shelf while xmas shopping and got it right away. I was so excited that I started playing it before I opened my other gifts.

One of those few memories I actually recall from my childhood.

Yeah, the time just flew by. This commercial brings back memories: https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Also if you remember that show American Gladiators, where almost every other commercail was a Nintendo commercial :D

I remember the show. But IIRC, I was really into MST3K back then, and they had the same time slot

I wonder if they could do a prequal where you play as part of the first hunt and see the blood research and the downfall of the healing church and the remaining hunters.

That is a super great idea, I would 1000% pay full price for this! Only if Miyazaki directed, obviuosly. Bloodborne hooked me in a way Dark Souls never did.

Weird PS2 Games That Are Actually Good

The early 2000s was a crazy, weird time of defeating dystopias with karate, sending texts via Microsoft Excel, and ignoring your pets so you could look at jpegs of pets. As its adverts might have suggested, the PlayStation 2 was no stranger to getting a little bit freaky either.

..that article /list is only scratching on the surface of the weirdness on ps2. There are way more obscure games on that console.

Loktai132d ago

I would go alone with SOME on this list but a few arent even exclusive.. in fact the PS2 version of GIANTS is an after-thought and considered bastardized compared to the PC version.

Yep, that’s me! LOL

poppatron132d ago

I disagree, within 6 months the remake will be announced, it’ll be out in 2026 or the end of this year.

oldenjon132d ago

I don't know why they'd do something 3 years after the fact unless it represented some new conflict of interest though.
