Bloody Roar 3 - PS2 Review

Zach writes: The year 2000 was incredible for fighting games. The PS2 had just dropped and games like Marvel vs Capcom 2, Dead or Alive 2, Tekken Tag Tournament and Crash Bash found their way to consoles shortly after. With such a prestigious line-u p of IP’s dropping new games, it was hard for the lesser-known series to slip through.

It simply is a crime that this series hasn't made a return. I had some hilarious fun playing the first three entries of the game.

The later ones were fun but we're not nearly as fun as the previous titles.

I remember my friend coming to my house with this game burnt on a CD for my modded out PS1 and playing it. I was forever hooked.

They are so much fun. I've only played 3 and 4 so far but I love them. Hope I did 3 justice here :)

Definitely, I love the character designs also. I would love to see this series in the hands of the Tekken developers. I think they could do this game serious justice.

Just imagine what could be done with morphing today.

And now I'm thinking of a modern Psychic Force... :(

Psychic Force is another classic!!!

Man, that I think only had one other sequel.

Oh man, those were the days when games were released regularly and you could get a gem like Psychic Force or Bloody Roar.

Those where the days when publishers could allow experimentation. B and even C tier games versus the AAA w/MT that copy/chase after COD.

Ironic that more could be done with game development, as the indie scene clearly shows, yet for all self-imposed/greed inspired limitations modern, high end gaming may as well be pong.

I've only owned (still have it) and truly played Primal Fury on the GC. I loved it. I remember renting BR2 for PS1 back in the day and that was the first time I had ever played any game in the series.

I loved Bloody Roar 3 so much when I was younger! I really want to see this series return~

Does anyone ever actually read these reviews of decades old games? I mean, I'm not headed to GameStop to pick up a copy of Ace Combat 2 or Twisted Metal. It's 2019, man.

It's a niche market, but yes. Retro is booming.
