Control is a good choice. Remedy's Northlight engine is so impressive

Unspoken1978d ago

Control was such a great game.

lifeisgamesok1978d ago

I agree bro being able to remove a chunk of the ground and launch it at enemies is so satisfying. The story is intriguing too

Yes but this list was created by self important hipsters who want everyone to know they're smarter and more sophisticated than you because they appreciate indy games and crap no on likes.
You can almost smell their beards and tortoise shell glasses.

Nah, Control is a laborious bore with terrible writing.

Hardiman1977d ago

I loved the architecture and lighting. Usually I prefer more gritty worlds like GOW, HZD etc but Control and even Neir don't have that but they have a different kind of detail and I appreciate it.

No Luigi's Mansion 3 or Days Gone is incredibly disappointing.

Hardiman1977d ago

Yeah both games are great! The only taste I'm concerned about is mine so I never get too worked up about awards.

Day's gone is so underrated its criminal.

For some reason, open world survival games are not getting good ratings this gen by critics. Personally, I have found all the major open world survival games really fun. Deadrising 3/4, Dying Light, State of Decay 2, and Days Gone.

Hardiman1977d ago

I believe in time it'll be appreciated more. Especially when the sequel comes and maybe some will give it a shot.

Review - Shotgun Cop Man (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "I guess that what made me feel so disappointed about Shotgun Cop Man was the fact that I had just played a vastly superior game with the same gimmick, but no control issues whatsoever. In Sacre Bleu, I could perform small jumps before blasting myself with the recoil of my bunderbluss. Combat was fun there. It wasn’t here. Shotgun Cop Man ended up being a torturous patience test, with a control scheme that just didn’t fit in with the level design, really poor presentation, and a level of difficulty that never felt like I was being tested; I felt I was being made fun of. In short, if this game’s premise enticed you… go play Sacre Bleu instead."

Wrap House Simulator is Coming to Steam in May, But It's Not What You Think

"Wrapping houses is a common prank in which people throw rolls of toilet paper at a house at night. So far, there's never been a video game about this time-honored pastime. Imagine being able to safely wrap houses from the comfort of your own home! Well, Wrap House Simulator is not that game. Instead, it's about running a restaurant. Does the restaurant get wrapped in toilet paper? Probably not. On the plus side, it does have online co-op," says Co-Optimus.
