The Indie Game Website writes: "The auto-runner is a genre that seems to have fallen out of favour in recent years. After mobile hits like Temple Run and Rayman Jungle Run and indie gems like Canabalt and Bit. Trip Runner first exploded onto the scene, this addictively simple style has been less prominent in game design. EarthNight revives the auto-runner in a technicolour blaze of glory, and while it’s not perfect, it certainly can’t be called generic or uncreative like some past efforts in the genre."
From PSU: "Read our Earth Night PS4 review, have you ever wanted to run down the back of a dragon and stab it in the head? Now is your chance."
PlayStation LifeStyle: "EarthNight is the perfect blend of its elements—incredible visuals, a driving soundtrack, and fast-paced gameplay that is rewarding to learn. Slay just one dragon, and you can’t help but want to slay them all."
"I've been playing a ton of indies lately and many of them have been rather weird so here are 7 new indie oddities." - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums
