Don't forget they have a whole environment set in a virtual world along side the physical one. We don't know yet how big it'll be.
I am really curious how the development of this game has been. From what I can tell it's been very far from smooth sailing. Came off a high for Witcher 3 that just completely established them as a triple A developer. Witcher 1 and 2 were good, but Witcher 3 was a big step. Think they may have gotten a bit overconfident when they went into developing Cyberpunk 2077. Hopefully it'll still be an awesome game, pretty sure it will be.
Also, I'm a bit disappointed that most open world games let you see the whole map from the start. I'd like to get surprised and get to areas I didn't know was going to be in the game.
I have learned that bigger is not always better. I recently start playing Fallout 4 for the first time and even though the map is not as big as GTA V, is more entertaining. It rewards exploration.
As a person that never played Fallout before, it is very entertaining. It is very immersive and it has keep me hooked for many hours. There was many times I tried to do the same in GTA V, but the vast, empty world with little point brought disappointment.
I tried to go as far South as I could and I ended up finding the Childs of Atom. I also found a place plagued with Deathclaws. I once walking around found a diner with a note that mentions a secret exit through the sewage. I find something interesting every time I explore. I find weird, unsettling things. I find secret entrances, caves, notes and characters. It's like Breath of the Wild, and the amazing sense of wonder that you get when you are first put out in that big world with nothing but a stick.
GTA V is not a bad game by any means, is not my favorite of them, but it has amazing characters and is overall fun. But the world is like a big 4K wallpaper which you cannot interact with. When you are roaming around and you observe something out of place, you go and investigate and you will find a big nothing.
I’m totally fine with this smaller sized map if interiors are fully fleshed out. I’d rather this map with density opposed to some endless expanse like assassins creed odyssey.
its PART of the worlds map. as you can see, it bends around the case. I do thinks it’s an okay size and I’m hyped but that may clearly bends around that case
Its not about the size of the world, more like whats crammed in it!!! And the picture might not reveal the whole map,but who knows? Anyway, the game is going to be awesome!!!!
Small, but this developer has a history of large games, so I'm not worried.
I’m happy the map isn’t as sprawling as the assassins creed games. Give us a dense map packed with stuff to do and see. I’m sure this will be a hit

Very excited for this game!
