Looking Back to 2004 and the Dark Prince of Persia: Warrior Within

This game was really hard! It took me over a year to beat and one of my friends just couldn't do it. I wish I'd known at the time about getting all the collectables in order to kill the Dahaka.

That game was pretty unique, the Dahaka is one of the best bosses in video games ever, the battle mechanics really felt like aerobics.

It was due to lower than expected sales of Sands of Time, they went edgier and it worked for them I guess

Loved this game, the opening was great with the rock music. The combat was top notch and puzzles were interesting. The only part which I found difficult was the area where you had to put your sword into some center piece mechanism to make different columns and floor move up and down to reveal different paths. There was also a secret path which I was only able to get to once but never remembered again in a follow up play through.

Although I loved the story of Sands of Time, Warrior Within was better in about every way.

The Two Thrones was not as good and but still a great game in it's own rights.

The Forgotten Sands was also good, but ultimately forgettable.

The 2008 remake was the worse one in the entire series. Different prince, different move set, different combat where instead of fighting five or so people you were restricted to fighting one person and chasing orbs. Finishing a battle and the world transforms from bleak to natures beauty reminds me of another game, Flower.

They should just give the whole series the Resident Evil 2 treatment. I don’t see why they have stopped making the series. Even the last one that looked like the movie was still really good

I remember psychoanalyzing the prince's decision to quickly renege on his offer to willingly surrender his soul over to the Dahaka. How does one completely give up one minute but then a minute later have hope reinstilled in order to keep on fighting?
