Gamepressure: "Diablo's biggest rival has taken a collision course and is planning to thwart Blizzard's plans. Path of Exile 2 is basically a brand new game and it looks like there will be a duel between alpha males in the hack'n'slash market."

Nope Diablo is still the better game. Better gameplay more fluid. Their both great games though
I would probably take D4 over Path 2 if D4 were to be F2p, since D$ is going to be a live service. But to pay 60 usd entry fee for a chance to purchase micros is a no for me. I'll stick with Path. Sucks though because I've been waiting since 2 for a solid Diablo game.
I have played all Diablo games and PoE extensively and I find Diablo to be simply more fluid. PoE felt like a chore at times and too way too much effort to feel like I was making progress. They may possibly address some of those concerns with the sequel but from what I hear the things I do not prefer about it are the things most players enjoy so it's doubtful.
