Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Review: Normie Dark Souls - TheGamer

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order nails the aesthetic and feeling of Star Wars, but poor optimization makes it almost unplayable on console right now.

Poor optimization?

I'm playing on my launch PS4 and I've yet to see any bugs. The only issue I've had is on planet Kashyyk. The game stops for a few second sometimes to load the next area. But ONLY on Kashyyk. I'm guessing it's because that level is a rainforest and there are tons of things constantly being animated and moving around that it bogs down the game. There is texture pop-ups during cutscenes and menus which is annoying, but it doesn't effect gameplay. And I have yet for the game to crash.

But aside from that, and very occasional framerates drops, it's not unstable in the slightest.

And thankfully, none of those things seem to happen in combat or normal exploration. Usually when I'm trying to open a door or something similar.

Saying its unplayable is just silly.

Also, who in their right mind calls a game "almost unplayable" and then rates it a 7?

"Normie Dark Souls" What a pointless addition to the title.

It’s a pretty accurate description. It’s dark souls style game (minus the rpg elements and replaced with a basic skill tree) but toned down for the masses. It’s not as difficult or elaborate but it shares similar level design structure and similar combat.

It has difficulty settings though. If you want it to be as hard as Dark Souls you can play it on the hardest difficulty, because it is VERY hard.

He would kill it with a show or trilogy based around the character or some other story that involves Cal Kestis. Currently the best thing about Star Wars.
