Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch soon. Here's what Nintendo needs to change for the sequel.
"
Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is undoubtedly the best way to play one of the greatest games of all time. The visual and performance enhancements remove any issues that you may have had to endure with the original game. It's practically flawless from that perspective.
Sadly, the Zelda Notes app really brings the whole thing down. Useful features that should have been implemented in-game have been relegated to your smartphone, and using it completely breaks immersion in this incredible world. I'm only thankful that it's not even remotely mandatory. Leave Zelda Notes to one side, and you've got the definitive presentation of a modern classic." - Ollie Reynolds | NintendoLife

The composer took to Twitter to share that he actually stepped back from the position in July 2023, though this is the first time he has publicly acknowledged it.
The stupid annoying weather system where a thunder can hit you in span of 10 seconds, weapons that break in 5 minutes, paper thin story, kinda disappointing boss battles, and some laughably awful soundtrack mainly the battle themes and the repetitive shrine theme (other than those the soundtrack is excellent)
Less shrines 30 quality> 90+ boring shrines, but make them more difficult and more unique and make the rewards MEAN something, don't just give a sword that will break in 2 minutes. Obviously weapon breaking, give us an option to upgrade weapons, they can break still but reduce the time and let us repair them with whetstones for example, or take advantage of the mining and do it the monster hunter away, defeating enemies and finding ore to make new stronger weapons. More populated villages, they all feel like ghost towns. Add underwater sections and hire better story teller, hire a DECENT one because honestly whoever got paid to write botw had the easiest pay day in the industry aside from indie game story tellers.
Add back a good story, dungeons, special items, puzzle progression, the Triforce.
