Exactly. There’s really no point in doing anything other than pinnacle activity. Bungie has a bad habit of making previous content almost completely irrelevant when they drop new content.

It's been like that since D1, they never learn. The reason I blow so hot and cold with Destiny as a franchise is how they constantly make old content you paid for irrelevant, as opposed to real MMO's that build massive pools of content which all reward you with worthwhile rewards that are relevant to the latest update.

The Division has its problems, but every activity is worthwhile doing, where doing an old raid or activity from a previous expansion is basically redundant. I played until Forsaken, but seeing as they still haven't learned in Shadowkeep it's a hard pass or deep discount for me.

Honestly, it's a pretty decent game and I recommend the additional content but stuff like this is too common for it to keep going unnoticed

The whole "Free to play" thing is a stretch honestly. They've already given the base game away for free on every platform prior to the "F2P" move, so all they've really done is made the pre-forsaken DLC free.

You need to own at least Forsaken to realistically participate properly.

Now I can play it without PS+ and I'm not a hardcore. The "F2P" version is fine for me.

I was so pissed in Destiny 1 after getting the Black Hammer and after the new DLC dropped a week later, my Black Hammer was out of date.

When has the Destiny series not left people angry....
