EA Access Uptake Was Faster on PS4 Than Xbox One

It looks like PlayStation 4 owners are comfortable subscribing to different services: PlayStation Plus has attracted record members, PlayStation Now has grown significantly since its price drop, and now EA has confirmed that EA Access has increased from 3.5 million to 5 million users since launching on the Sony’s current-gen console.

In fact, according to the behemoth publisher, adoption of the service has been quicker on the PS4 than it was on the Xbox One – although it’s perhaps worth mentioning that the slate of software offered as part of the EA Access Vault is much better now than it was five years ago.

Tbh as much as I hate EA , I got ea access for a month £3.99 and played anthem, battlefront 2 (sp) battlefield 5, fe and burnout remaster which was a bargain tbh.
Average games at best and it saved me roughly £400 not buying them new thankfully.
Won't be renewing as they were the only catalogue of games I liked in the library.

Thats what I do. I dont subscribe monthly but every now and then Ill get a month and just play whatever is on there.

Exactly enjoyed battlefront 2 sp for what is was, already played the hell out of burnout on ps3 so got bored of that quick, fe was not my cup of tea and anthem well let's just say I agree with the backlash.

I mean it gained a lot of mindshare on Xbox that bled over to PS4 owners. Of course it would be adopted faster.

Ironic how Sony said it doesn't add value to PS owners.

Plus it has a lot more games available now.

Makes sense if you think about it, the ps4 has sold over double what the one has, more potential customers to sell to, other factors will be included but that's the main one I see.

Well not all sub services are the same and a vocal minority of fans hardly provides insight into the buying habits of all playstation gamers, so a blanket statement like that really doesn't hold weight.

EA Access is much improved at this point as the article points out and the install base is many times larger.... common sense folks.

Well yeah, because PS4 users now have a bigger catalogue and have missed out on it for a while. When it first launched, people were a bit wary about a sub for EA, plus it had a small library. Also, PS4 has like 3 times the users... not sure why this is all that surprising.

That's something positive to be proud of. Hard work and good exclusives is the reason PlayStation is #1. This does not come by luck.

I never said its not something to be proud of, but why would I be proud of it? lol I don't own the company. Just saying that a console where a service came late to, with now a bigger library, and that has more than 3 times the install base SHOULD outpace subscribers.

With more than double the console install base it makes sense. I wonder how much EA as to pay to Sony for this to be on the platform.

Haven't touched it on my Xbox and haven't touched it on my PS4 no way in hell will I support EA
