The Outer Worlds Holster - how to put weapons away

From GameWatcher: "The Outer Worlds is out this week, and it's a huge RPG with a lot of first-person gun combat. However, it's not a first-person shooter, not even something like Borderlands - it's an RPG, so you should be able to put your weapons away. Is there a The Outer Worlds holster weapons option?"

it's interesting in the sense that the people doing youtube vids don't seem to know about it - they all walk around with their guns out pointing at people while they're talking to them. i don't have the game but i was wondering if holstering a gun was possible considering none of the youtubers i've been watching ever put their gun away.

Be careful not getting caught in a save loop in this game. It happened to me tonight. Thankfully I beat the enemies. Barely, but that let me get out of the area I was trapped in.

I was worried something similar would happen to me and all i could think was "omg all this time invested is about to be useless"

I got into a deathclaw family savetrap in FONV lol. It was like an un-fun version of SUPERHOT trying each and every thing I could till I finally came out on top... like an hour later.

is it possible to do a manual save on ocasion to keep if something like this happens?

NecrumOddBoy2021d ago

Yes. You can save whenever on Normal, at least.

ReVibe2021d ago

Wonderful~
Now how do I make it so my gun doesn't whip out every time I talk to someone? It should be hold button both ways...

NecrumOddBoy2021d ago

Thankfully pointing a gun doesn't trigger an attack.

nucky642021d ago

i was thinking this watching gameplay on youtube. talking to an NPC while you've got a gun pointed at their head and they don't care is kind of funny.
