2019's Modern Warfare both draws from the original and lays a good foundation for the rest of the series, despite some thematic issues and co-op pitfalls.
Not their final review. This review is also somewhat notorious...
You want this to score high? It's the same copy & paste game year after year.
Shane Kim No it's not at all. Have you actually played it?
Your comment is the same copy & paste comment you see with every new cod game regardless if you have played any cods or not. You have no idea what you are talking about.
This isn’t anywhere in the same zip code as previous CoDs This really is possibly the best COD to date
the only thing copy/paste about call of duty now is this argument that it's "the same game every year."
No, this time it is not. But stay uninformed and on the hate bandwagon.
I mean the reviewER is notorious for writing bad reviews.
Why does Gamespot still let Kallie Plagge review games? She is an idiot, a social justice warrior and a intentional troublemaker. Complaints: Not enough time exploring the woman's struggles and being woman. White Phosphorus is a war crime and morally bad.
"It's disappointing, though, that Farah doesn't play more of a role. While she is a key part of Alex's missions and the driving force behind much of the story, you only play as her a few times." Lol you were right about the complaint
"Not enough time exploring the woman's struggles and being woman. White Phosphorus is a war crime and morally bad." Is this real? Sounds like a parody of an actual review lol. EDIT: Just read the review. Gamespot lets this SJW review the most masculine game of the year because they like the hits they get off of the controversy....simple as that.
Isnt she the one who reviewed days gone also?
Yes. Then she went on Twitter and complained about the freakers being white; then attacked people who disagreed with her.
because she triggers you nerds and its hilarious
If you act like an idiot, you get treated like an idiot. Trying to cover it up as some clever, ingenious plan to "trigger" people is idiotic.
if you look at pretty much all the game journalism sites like gamespot & IGN, and even alot of the podcast/youtube style gaming news shows like kindafunnygames, they are all pretty much the same echo chamber of left & sjw ideas. You just have to know that going into reading reviews that they are reviewed with those ideological biases and leanings.
Yo....chill with the spoilers. Damn its the writer decided to expose almost all of the best bits in the game.
thank you for warning, not reading the article but this game is surprisingly good as far as I've played
I'll keep note not to trust anyone that rated Black Ops 4 higher than this one. It seems like the biggest complaint reviewers have is that they were offended, amongst the lower reviews.
Black ops 4 was fun but this one blows it out of the water
Same. BO4 is my worst CoD to date.
CoD Ghosts and CoD WW2. Both mediocre subpar games. Ghosts was just plain awful and uninspired.
The whole game felt uninspired. People who like battle royale may have liked it more, but I still think games are getting the mode completely wrong. @Shinjuku Agreed, I think Call of Duty has been poor this generation. Haven't played MW enough to judge it properly, but Black Ops 3 was the best on these consoles up until now, and it paled in comparison to most of the PS360 entries
For multiplayer enthusiasts: This is not a typical CoD game. It's slow paced and very tactical. ADS, getting angles from windows, line of sight, and crawling is the name of the game - not much run and gun. I'm finding it enjoyable but I hear people saying they've never been so bored. This is nothing like any previous CoD - it's very slow. Just a heads up.
The vast majority of COD players are not tactical. Running around like an idiot devoid of team work is how most of them play the game. COD in the past has encouraged easy kills, with over the top aim assist, nonsense jumping, sliding and shooting which makes people believe they are better than they actually are, also where watching the mini map takes presidency over using sight an sound. Slow that down and make them think and try and use skill, you will undoubtedly get complaints. I watch people get killed, they re spawn and run straight in at the same place again, then die, no thinking in any shape or form, you know the ones 2 kills, 19 deaths.
Dark Edition reserved and excited to pick it up in a couple hours. Got the day off to dig into it. Beta showed promise and looking forward to checking out the updates, other maps and campaign. I typically play BF for my MP fix, so hats off to the COD folks for implementing new elements such as the updated engine and add'l models to entice my buy while keeping the tight, responsive & beautifully customizable gunplay. Kudos!
I love this game so far! This is what we wanted since MW2!
This same girl always brings her personal politics into reviews. She's the same one that shit on Days Gone for stupid stuff and is the "too much water" girl from IGN. Terrible reviewer.
I am playing the campaign currently and enjoying it, but her impressions are full of spoilers, I started to read her impressions, but could not finish it with all the spoilers. Clearly, Kelly Plagge is not the person this game is meant for. Gamers love realism and this game provides realism in strides. After Kelly Plagge's atrocious Days Gone review, I do not expect much from her review of game that makes those pussy video game journalists cringe at the thought of shooting a female terrorist reaching for a detonator. The reality is modern day game reviews from video game websites can not be trusted. That is why content creators such as ACG or Angry Joe are so pivotal in the gaming community. Angry Joe holds developers accountable for mistreating gamers with bad games and ACG's reviews are superb. Video game media outlets cannot be trusted in this new era of forced wokeness and inclusiveness breaching video games and the industry at large.
