"Drop your socks and grab your Crocs, we're about to get wet on this ride."
One of the best superhero VR games on Quest 2 has been permanently discounted, so you don't need Tony Stark money to buy it.
WTMG's Leo Faria: "In our humble opinion, the best VR from 2022 wasn’t exactly a new title. Sure, there were bangers like Moss: Book II and Cities VR, but the one title that stood out above everything else was the Quest 2 port of Iron Man VR. While we did like the game while it first came out for PSVR years ago, it had its flaws, namely stemming from the actual hardware. The Quest 2 port fixed most of these issues, being prettier, better performing, and most importantly, portable. We were finally free to move around as Tony Stark whenever, wherever and however it wanted. It’s easily one of the main killer apps for the Quest 2 alongside Resident Evil 4.
Naturally, we just wanted to know more about the game and its porting process. We reached out to Camouflaj in order to interview the game’s Director of Production, Matt Walker, who was kind enough to answer our questions regarding the game’s pitching phase, the advantages of the Quest 2 over the PSVR, as well as his opinions on the future of VR and Camouflaj in general."
I can only hope that Meta is willing to get some extra revenue and decides to port Iron Man to PSVR2.
What are the best Meta Quest 2 games of 2022? Well, here's our selection of ten titles that you should have.
First things first...
YOU WILL NOT NEED A BIG ROOM TO PLAY THIS GAME.
PSVR is not a room scale platform or requires you to move all over the place. You either stand up or sit down. Iron Man will have you move in 360, a rare thing for a 180 degree headset, but play from one position. Article writer should not mislead gamers. And when playing VR, who are you trying to impress? It's not a fashion show or will be graded on how you look playing games.
Anyway, other super heroes that would fit well is Thor, Hawkeye, Captain America, Hulk, Dr Strange... Basically with the right development, you can turn almost any Marvel super hero into a VR game.
Lastly, try not to compare Iron Man with a free, Spider-Man Far From Home "Experience." It wasn't a game but more an ad for the movie. Research and you'll find article writer, that Camouflaj said Iron Man is a full game and not an experience. With levels, upgrades, friends, foes, etc.
Also, with proper setup, PSVR doesn't have that many issues. This is always blown out of proportion.
As for the game, can't wait to play it. Sony should put the demo on the store to let PSVR owners try it. It might help to silence critics and increase pre-order numbers before release.
This is one of my most anticipated games.
