There is no excuse for this. The article makes out it's because of leaks that the campaign is unavailable, but who cares about spoilers for a COD game? Death Stranding isn't going to have a pointless disc with gargantuan "patch" for the campaign on day one xD

Vegamyster2077d ago

I loved the original MW trilogy story, not saying this is a good excuse but I don’t want this spoiled.

Fishy Fingers2077d ago

I wouldnt want an episode of the Simpsons spoilt just before i was about to watch it... Its called 'spolit' for a reason.

So because of possible leaks, that you wouldn't have seen anyway, you're content with having a disc with just the tutorial on it and you have to download the campaign. Ok.

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH2077d ago

Don’t be so sure about that. TONS of games have day one patches that are huge. Hell GoW had NUMEROUS patches in the first month alone.

CDbiggen2077d ago (Edited 2077d ago )

Could I play the game on those without the patch though? Because you can't here.
Call me old fashioned, but I like not having to download the campaign when I've bought a physical copy.

CDbiggen2077d ago

I know I'm not entitled to play something before release, that's not what I'm asking for you lunatic 😆
I'm also not saying it's illegal for them to do.

Where are you getting this from? Or are you just saying things you think sound good?

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH2077d ago

The game is not officially released yet so technically you don’t have the right to anything until launch date. Now if you can’t play ON RELEASE DATE then you would have a point.

CDbiggen2077d ago

No, I have a point anyway. I'm not arguing the legal side of things, I'm not sure how I gave you that impression - this is about the campaign being unavailable on the fucking disc. I feel like I'm going insane.

No thanks, I don't buy games that have an expiry date. I enjoy revisiting the COD campaigns from time to time. What happens when they pull the plug on this one? And WWII? They should NOT have made it so you need to update in order to play the campaign. Other games don't do this, so what makes this series so f##### special? F### them then. I hope Activision rots in hell.

CDbiggen2077d ago (Edited 2077d ago )

Ex-fucking-acatly.
I still drag out the PS3 titles for the campaign and spec-ops, and I will be able to do that for as long as the PS3 holds out.

One x or pro version? Betas were wildly different, imagine parity reached for release.

Will be interesting to see what sort of numbers GP users draw in come tomorrow. It is believed that this is one many have been waiting for.

Darth,

That is not accurate; this game is old, and most people who want it have already bought it. You might get a small number of subs, but we will mostly see a good influx of players(not new subs) from people with Game Pass who will try it, which is what happened with D4.

CoD: BO 6 will be the test for actual sub numbers.

darthv72340d ago

That's fair... seeing as many have been saying they want CoD in GP. My comment was more of , now that its here... what can it do. Im sure there will be other titles in the franchise that will either entice or turn off different users.

Bathyj340d ago

No one's buying a console and signing up for a monthly bill just to get this game to avoid buying it. That's ridiculous. Besides everyone bagged the crap out of this on release for the 4 hour campaign.

andy85340d ago

Sweet. Never got round to it on release. I'll give the campaign a go

Severly underrated game. Big improvement over 2.

Why MW 2019 is still the best looking Call of Duty to date

MW 2019 is five years old at this point and on previous gen hardware, but it is still the best looking Call of Duty game to date.

MW was an excellent videogame. They messed up Spec Ops big time, but aside from this it was a huge step in the right direction initially. Most notably, at launch it seemed to come from a very cohesive creative vision that was felt across gameplay, to story to art style/visual direction. It was also very notably written by prominent ex-Naughty Dog guys that quit almost immediately before release.

That COMPLETELY dissolved through post-launch content and the full pivot to a "cross-mode" narrative that completely obliterated the cohesion in overall story direction. Warzone then "became" the new face of Call of Duty and the franchise completely removed itself from anything remotely creatively "good". It is a pure money machine, so I kinda get why they're doing it....but I personally completely lost interest.

I would love to see Infinity Ward move off CoD and get to make their own product with full control. They clearly have some massive talent in their ranks but it's perverted by Activision's corporate interests.
