Dark Souls - My own story of how my love began and how it taught me the lost art of patience.
WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "I absolutely love this for Peach. She’s a fantastic character, and her personality really shined in Super Mario Odyssey, The Super Mario Bros Movie and here, now, with Princess Peach: Showtime! This is such a trip of a title where it feels like the player is doing absolutely everything under the sun. You get to have that passion for every incarnation for just a short time, then move on to something different. Being able to sample so many interactions and scenarios keeps the game fresh from start to finish, allowing players to revel and replay the plays they enjoy and just quickly bust through the ones they don’t. There’s charm, there’s cuteness, there’s a generous difficulty curve and there’s a plot that passes the Bechdel test. This is the right step forward for Peach into the spotlight, and I hope Showtime! is the first of many more adventures to come."
“April was an indie-heavy month and it was hard to pick the best games but here we go! Hope you have fun and see something you like.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
The Nerd Stash: "Abiotic Factor combines some of the funniest and more challenging elements into a facility where dimensional barriers have dissipated."
The only thing Souls games have made me better at, is learning not to waste time with souls games.
I can relate to this experience. Back when I was using Gamefly I gave up on Demon Souls fairly quickly. Later when Dark Souls was out I gave it a shot up until I made the return trip to Undead Aslyum, rather too soon apparently. The Stray Demon kicked my ass repeatedly and I finally ejected the disc, sealed it in the return Gamefly enveloped and walked it out to mailbox. 30 minutes later I grabbed it from the mailbox, ripped it open, popped it in the PS3 and defeated the Stray Demon. I was absolutely sold on it after that and later returned to go through Demon Souls not to mention the following souls games. It's now my favorite series of all time.
Looking forward to Elden Ring more so than any other game.
Hmm, I don’t know about that. My wife and kids probably only noticed it extended my vocabulary for words that should not be said with people around. Not really sure that helped me as person though.
Demons souls still has the best story and the most emblematic moments in the series, the gar Vinland/maiden astraea boss fight was amazing
Bloodborne was my first souls game and its by far my favorite game this generation.
