8 PS2 Classics We Wish We Could Play On PS4

The PlayStation 2 is one of the best selling consoles of all time, It is also the home to some of the best and most unique games ever developed. Several HD remasters from the PS2 generation have been made available for the current generation systems.

In addition to all of the remastered titles, several PS2 Classics have found their way on the PlayStation 4 Store for purchase too. Here’s a look at some PS2 games that should get released on the PS4.

“Unfortunately, the PlayStation 3 still has the biggest library of PlayStation Classics with the majority of them absent on the PS4.”

I seriously wish Sony put in as much effort with PS2 Classics this gen as they did last gen.

- PS3 has 336 PS2 Classic titles
- PS4 has 54 PS2 Classic titles

PS4 basically has only 16% of the total amount of PS2 titles that PS3 received. Considering how PS4 has greater functionality with these titles & how Sony is largely promoting the ability to play PS2 games on PS Now you’d think Sony would’ve been more adamant with adding more titles to the service.

What’s even more appalling is that Xbox One currently has 41 Xbox titles that can be played on Xbox One. PS2 has a vastly superior library of games to choose from than Xbox, yet XO’s lineup of classic titles from two generations ago isn’t so far behind what PS4 is offering despite starting two years later.

It's sad that there weren't more Simpsons games generally. If there was an open-world Simpsons game set in a fully detailed Springfield I wouldn't need any other game, lol. And no I don't mean a mobile game like Tapped Out.
