3 Reasons We Need a Bloodborne Sequel On Playstation 5

In a recent interview with GameSpot, Hidetaka Miyazaki, legendary creator of the Dark Souls series and Bloodborne, told the press outlet that making a sequel to the lovecraftian horror title in the souls genre wasn't a decision that was his to make. He went on to say much more about the games, such as the fact that Chalice Dungeons and Blood Gems could have been better, and that his favourite soulsborne boss is the Old Monk of Demons Souls. However, this tidbit of news got me thinking about Bloodborne 2, and why we need a sequel on Sony's next generation console. Here are the three core reasons I think this sequel should get made.

And before that, we need a remaster of the first game. "Glorious" 4(8?)k 60fps

Since it was the GotG for this generation, of course.

Perhaps the rumored Demon's Souls remake will be first, then Bloodborne 2? Both NEED to happen. It's confusing as to why a sequel hasn't been announced, unless they are planning on revealing it as a launch title? I feel like Microsoft would've had a sequel out years ago if they owned the IP. If Microsoft had worked with From Soft and they had produced Bloodborne they would've put in for a sequel immediately and propped the franchise up as a pillar of the brand. They probably would've assigned a first party studio as strictly a Bloodborne team with numerous bi-yearly sequels. It's just remarkable the philosophical difference between publishers. While i wouldn't want Sony to pimp out the IP to the extent Microsoft would, i can't imagine why Sony would sit on an enormous IP like this? While Microsoft is perhaps too aggressive and obnoxious, Sony often hurts themself by being too polite and not aggressive enough.

Mark it, it's gonna happen. No way they don't develop a sequel for the new console.

In an article just released today Director Hidetaka Miyazaki said it wasnt up to him if bloodborne ever gets a sequel.
So either a sequel is being made and From Software isnt involved (lol, not happening), or there is no sequel currently in the works. Or Miyazaki is pulling the wool over our eyes.
For sure, a Bloodborne 2 game on ps5 would be a huge win for Sony. I cant imagine what the hold up is. Maybe negotiations between From and Sony arent going well?

I'd rather have a new game from them. There's so many other settings they could explore. I'm personally hoping for a Soulsesque game with a 1930s Mafia-inspired setting infused with horror.

I would take a sequel made for the ps1 at this rate.

I hope so, the first one is a masterpiece.

I would welcome a spiritual succesur with similar lovecraftian themes but not a sequel in the same universe. The story ends perfectly. Why mess with it? Just my opinion.

There is so much you can do in the Bloodborne universe, plus, the lore/story leaves room for interpretation. Any decent writer could figure it out. The game was so good, so beloved, it sort of demands a sequel. TLoU didn't NEED a sequel story/lore wise, but everyone is damn happy there is one. Bloodborne is a GotY/even GotG title in many people's mind that sold exceptionally well, it's an all-timer.

If Sony doesn't have BB2 already in full development they are fools. It released 2015, the game should be a PS5 launch title by this rate. I just don't understand why it wouldn't be in development?
