Star Wars Battlefront II Has Turned into One Hell of a Star Wars Game

With the new co-op update, Star Wars Battlefront II has completed its transformation into an excellent shooter: online, co-op, or even alone.

Is this a j/k, I played the sp through ea access last month which was half arsed and the mp was run of the mill, rinse and repeat shite.

Sp features some if the worst canned animations and lack of emotions combined with possibly the weakest enemy ai I've ever seen.

It plays like a PS2 shooter enemies run into the open and fire at you until you kill them all

Because modern gamers are skill-less and weak minded, if the game isn't consistently throwing "rewards" at you they get bored.

Give me a game like Timesplitters, Overwatch or TF2 anyday.

I’ll tell you why it’s become better...because it’s Star Wars and there’s some people who are having a huge nerdgasm with the characters/maps they are adding because they are using fan favourite or under used characters / locations

If this was Battlefield and it had the same level of support no one would give a shit

It’s still got the same generic online structure, it plays roughly the same, it still has those awful cards, it’s still Battlefront II just with more content you should have had years ago

I havent played this in so long but aside from the crazy stuff they pulled in the beginning I always thought the game/gameplay itself was good. I'm going to check out the new updates this weekend.

Avoid HvV, lightsaber combat is atrocious. Too many abilities destroy the flow of it. 2v2 is much more tolerable.

I played it last week after the update, it's so much better. The gameplay is solid and much more fun. The co-OP mode shines and is a ton of fun to play with friends.

One Hell of a game or not, it still isn't a fifth of what could have been done with this license and Dice. The mark has been missed. Dressing up a "swing and a miss" game of this caliber doesn't make it any better. The graphics are amazing, though.
