Nintendo Switch Lite teardown reveals modified joystick components

iFixit has taken a Nintendo Switch Lite apart and discovered the ways it differs from its non-Lite siblings. If you're wondering whether the gaming giant made changes to prevent drifting, which is a persistent issue for Joy-Cons, the answer is: maybe. Nintendo definitely did something to its joysticks -- some of their components are a different size from the original, and the part that controls the buttons is narrower. However, the black contact pads under their (slightly wider) metal sliders still look the same. One of the theories behind the infamous Joy-Con drift is that those contact pads wear down over time. As iFixit notes, though, it's unclear if they're now made of tougher materials.

this entire article is a complete farce …..

it has already been verified by multiple sources that Nintendo used the same joy-con parts in the lite that are breaking in the regular system ….

This is propaganda, Lies, Horse****, etc.... How is this legal ? can we sue for false advertisement ? This kinda thing has to stop and stop soon ….

I mean they did tear the thing down and can see it with their own eyes.

I could post multiple articles like this one stating they are the same parts ….

https://www.pcmag.com/news/...

I could copy a shady line from the articles writer …

" If you're wondering whether the gaming giant made changes to prevent drifting, which is a persistent issue for Joy-Cons, the answer is: maybe."
or
" However, the black contact pads under their (slightly wider) metal sliders still look the same."

or I could just realize you're a fanboy who doesn't read or know anything but blind love for Pretendo and hurt buttocks for anyone speaking the truth and presenting facts …...

DETROIT SMAAASSSSSHHHHHHH !!!

@AllMightFox - ok, so we have people who actually open the thing and have said

"Nintendo definitely did something to its joysticks -- some of their components are a different size from the original, and the part that controls the buttons is narrower."

so clearly it isn't identical. Whether or not it might cause the same issues isn't the point. They are literally saying that some of the components have been modified.

Get off your high horse, you made a statement that was false. Things are different. Will it result in the same number of users exhibiting drift? Time will tell. Then again, I have never experienced that to begin with, so I guess I'm the rare "lucky" one who doesn't have it.
