Rossko @ FG: This week on a short and sweet episode of The Finger Guns Podcast Greg, Paul and Rossko talk all about Apple Arcade. Paul gives us a deep dive into a variety of games available, if it’s worth the money and whether or not it will appeal to those who aren’t really into mobile games. Is the selection varied enough for Paul to keep his subscription after the free trial? I guess we’ll find out in a few weeks.
Elsewhere we get down and dirty in the murky world of digital game pricing, and try to work out just why games on online storefronts are most always so much more expensive than their physical counterparts. Just how cheap can Paul get Far Cry 5? That is the question.
Not only that, but we talk Terminator Resistance after its reveal this week. Greg gets angry about Terminator Genisys again and whilst we came away impressed from the trailer, will it live up to that expectation?
We also talk hands on with FIFA 20, Deadly Premonition Origins, the utterly fantastic Sayanora Wild Hearts, Mutazione, Wreckfest, Monster Hunter World, Bus Simulator (again), FIFA 20, Apple Arcade darling Assemble With Care and more, including pre-embargo non-impressions of The Surge 2 and Yooka-Laylee and The Impossible Lair.
"We have no intention of expanding" - Miyamoto
Feels like a missed opportunity, since Nintendo is loved all around the world, a museum in USA / CAN / UK / AUS / etc. would always be packed with fans.
Music to our ears.
“There is a lot of talk about A.I., for example. When that happens, everyone starts to go in the same direction, but that is where Nintendo would rather go in a different direction."
Good on Nintendo for not chasing the next big thing.
LOL simply because they don't want to invest in it and stick to their outdated approach. See the next pokemon game on Switch 2 will look like something that should come out during the PS3 gen
“I would like to say that there’s a lot of space for very high quality games," says Yves Guillemot.
" very high quality "
That's only true for one of the two though, and we all know which one that'll be.
I promise, only one of them will.
And it's the one that is the better franchise and respects the historical context of the region.
Dude’s getting the sweat because star wars outlaws underperformed, and that’s with far smaller controversy compared to AC shadows.
Well of course, but AC: Shadows will be on more platforms so I would expect it to sell more than Ghost.
