Doom Eternal and DMC5 are my GOTY contenders followed closely by Sekiro. Been a long time since this many AAA games were in my GOTY list.

Wow someone else with DMC5 as their current GOTY

Why is it surprising? DMC5 was some of the most fun I have had in years playing video games. It is easily in my Game of Generation list at this point dethroning Nioh alongside Witcher 3, Nier: Automata, Persona 5 and Hollow Knight.

Devil May Cry 5 is a instant classic in my case. Beaten the game four times, the gameplay was spot on, graphics was mindblowing, even the story did take me by suprise!
GOTY so far, easy. Doom Eternal is looking sp far demongodly epic!

Agreed. It is a modern classic. Made me remember the PS2 days of gaming. Also, it is a technical achievement. The amount of fidelity at 60 fps even on consoles was insane, unparalleled. That combined with probably the deepest combat in existence system aside from DMC4, HOLY HECK!!! It is GOTY by such a huge margin it isn't even funny. I finished the game in a single sitting of 10 hours and 0 regrets.

It was pure fan service integrated within a decent story (Though I still think DMC3 is a masterstroke in terms of storytelling)

I think it will be good. Only thing I'm worried about is how will Bethesda screw it up. Their last 4-5 titles has been alright at best but lately all their games had something that was not needed such as open-world for Rage 2 or repeated mission structure in Wolfenstein Youngblood (along with terrible characters). A few other problems include their games being buggy at launch, as well as having some sort of live-service game or incorporated microtransactions (which should not be in a single-player game).

So I think it the core game will be good, but at the same time I will not be surprised if Doom Eternal had some sort of microtransaction based on their past few games or some sort of hub area (which was leaked but unconfirmed if true). This game is bound to get some sort of backlash. That's the kind of day and age we live in now.
