Capcom has braved social media in order to address concerns that fans have voiced over Resident Evil spinoff Project Resistance.
VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Project Resistance is a fun, exciting adventure, but as someone who prefers PvE experiences I don't think I'd make a habit of playing it. It feels more like a complimentary piece to an existing game and not something that justifies a brand new product (keep in mind I only saw one map and one game mode, and the finished version will almost certainly include more bells and whistles). That said, followers of titles like Friday the 13th and Dead by Daylight will probably find the game's high stakes and asymmetrical gameplay much more valuable and far more replayable."
Let’s look into everything that happened in Resident Evil this year, its upcoming games, and what's next for the survival-horror franchise.
At New York Comic-Con 2019, GotGame had a chance to check out Project Resistance, playing as a survivor in Capcom's upcoming 4v1 Resident Evil title.
I hate to be Mr negative but all that just sounds like a bunch of corporate BS. He never addresses the desire for a new Outbreak game. There's your new gameplay idea all ready to go.
While Capcom has made serious improvements with game development, they have only made half steps. Even while going to their roots with one hand, they can't help but chase trends with the other. They'll never be that cutting edge games industry powerhouse again if they don't stop worrying so much about chasing trends and start pushing to set trends like they used to.
This strikes me as a World War Z / Left 4 Dead type of game, but with an actual story. If that’s the idea, then more power to Capcom.
Still looking forward to RE3 though.
Keep also in mind that they're are working on another RE project, this one is just ta side one.
F**k that bs!
