Kojima's long-time collaboration with Sony means it always feels odd to see his name next to an Xbox logo, like Master Chief appearing on your PS5 or glimpsing your teacher in the big Tesco doing her weekly shop.

Too bad they used it for a Gears/Halo/Forza machine and the new IPs tanked. What a waste.
I personally want to see the Coalition try their hands at a new IP, for the next Xbox console.
I think Gears 5 simply joins the upper echelon of pristine visual games already out in the last stage of this generation. You can’t push much further without sacrificing performance or visuals (vice versa) for anything now. You need new tech, next gen systems will push out visuals like this but with a far more dynamic gameplay and environments.
