Geoff Keighley broke news this afternoon that The Last of Us Part II would be returning to blow away the PlayStation Nation with a planned media event on September 24th. Now Gaming Industry Analyst, ZhugeEX, dropped a tease; there will be another Sony event the week of September 24th.
Perched on the edge of a sofa at the back of a warehouse in an unfashionable part of Hollywood and with his trademarked unruly curls for once corralled into a more manageable man bun - out of 'laziness' rather than any kind of fashion statement, he protests - Neil Druckmann is in excitable but enigmatic mood.
She's a girl who's into girls, which makes her very much unique and a standout character. I, for one, have never once seen someone's sexuality pushed to the forefront of a story that would otherwise have correlation to it, definitely not in the last 2 years or so. Much deep and many multilayered. Can't wait.
"It’s so ambitious the game doesn’t fit on one BluRay, it’s on two discs. It’s so ambitious that we actually decided to make it single player only. There’s no multiplayer in The Last of Us Part 2. We wanted to take all of the resources to make this the biggest game we’ve ever done.”
Well no reason to buy day one then. Will wait for GOTY edition.
There were four things in particular that stood out to us in the release date trailer for The Last of Us Part II, and we're here to break them down!
Ross @ FG: This week on the Podcast, Greg and Rossko discuss their rather exciting trip to Nintendo HQ in Windsor along with their thoughts on Zen Studios’ Star Wars Pinball. Who nerded out the most? Well, let’s be honest, they both did.
Elsewhere Greg discusses his thoughts on a new multiplayer Resident Evil game in Project Resistance, along with Paul’s concerns (shocker). We also discuss the upcoming Last of Us Part II media event, what we’re hoping will be announced and just when on earth the game will be coming out. Sean’s date is rather realistic, Paul’s hopefully isn’t.
We also talk what’s been revealed from this week’s Tokyo Game Show, including more talk on Death Stranding and the Final Fantasy VII Remake and talk Apple Arcade, is it enough to make us want to jump ship to iOS? We discuss. Finally there’s a massive shock in the Trivia Challenge, changing everything you thought you knew about our weekly quiz.
Interesting. Looking forward to it!
nice, if it has a ghost of tsushima release date I'll be more than satisfied
Interesting indeed
Hopefully a 1st party event of upcoming games. One for regular. One for VR but a hands on event to try them like Iron Man.
Nice looking forward to that week, seems to be packed with new gameplay and info
