I never got this on the wii so I look forward to it, I hope it doesn't have the same combat system from 2 though as I'm not a big fan of it

esherwood2110d ago

Yeah realty. Xb2 story was amazing but the combat system was like a full time job trying to learn. Played 80 hours and still didn’t really know what the hell I was doing

Neonridr2110d ago

learning that game in a nutshell is a full time job. Definitely not the same as a simple turned based RPG like Final Fantasy, lol

esherwood2109d ago

Wish they would simplify it, I bet 90% of the people playing don’t understand it. That was my major gripe. Honestly makes no sense to make it that involved

Zeldafan642109d ago (Edited 2109d ago )

I have almost 400 hours in the game and I still don't fully understand the combat system. It's like that with every Xenoblade game.

Zeldafan642109d ago

You need Corvin. He's possibly the best blade in the game.

loxim2109d ago

For real. I played over 150 grudgingly long hours trying to get through XBC2 hoping it would get better but the combat never did. The story and characters were great but god damn I was either bored out of my mind during combat or hoped it would get better. Towards the end I just pushed through so I could be done. Wasted half the time I played just doing side stuff that didn't even make anything more interesting.

I never played the first XBC so I have no idea if the combat is better or not boring, I'll have to look into it.

XBC2 gameplay was convoluted for no reason. I'm glad part 1 is being remade it had the best gameplay.

It's very similar to XC2, but not completely the same. Different mechanics in place. I think the original has a better battle system, and all the characters you can play as all have different styles. You can also spec them differently. For instance, Dunban can be played as either a DPS character or an agility tank due to high evasion and aggro. Very MMO like battle system. Definitely one of the best games I've ever played, beautiful soundtrack, story and art direction.

DarkZane2109d ago

Xenoblade Chronicles X has a lot more MMO aspects though. I want that one remastered too. An extra scenario wouldn't hurt either, the story was clearly not over.

Zeldafan642109d ago

I think 2s battle system is better

no_more_heroes2110d ago

After learning of this game's greatness from Let's Plays, I was hoping they'd make a Switch port.

My prayers have been answered 🙏

Sirk7x2110d ago

I've probably begged for this a hundred times, comment history will show xD

1 - 3 are connected. Idk if X is connected since I haven't beaten the epilogue in X yet. X will probably be connected.

Nintendo of America never planned on bringing Xenoblade to North America despite announcing it at E3

These days Xenoblade is one of Nintendo’s bigger franchises – at least when it comes to RPGs – but that wasn’t always the case. The first entry came out in English more than a year after its Japanese launch, and that was for European fans only.

Would've been yet another whack move on Nintendo. I'm glad they did. It's one of the few games I got the switch for.

XiNatsuDragnel399d ago

Well nintendo if you didn't do that big l

Knightofelemia399d ago

I guess Nintendo forgets how boosting sales numbers work. Why lock a game to a certain region or certain regions? You want sales number then flood the market and release the game in every region.

Lionsguard399d ago

I just don't understand why companies enjoy locking software behind such specific things. Imagine if Minecraft was only available for Xbox 360 and only North America and never again on anything else..
