It’s a hard question to answer these days: is there any good racing games? It’s not like there is of no abundance of racing games- there’s plenty around. But to the average gamer, racing games have somehow lost its appeal. Gone are the days of Gran Turismo being a hit and talked about for months as it influences petrolheads and normal gamers worldwide. The biggest hype around racing games in the mainstream this year is for kart racers.
Here are some great PC games that are even better with a controller. In fact, one can say that they're meant to be played with a controller.
That's why I don't mess with PC gaming for the most part. When I game I'm relaxing. Hard to do that with a keyboard and mouse. That's just my thought on it.
I'm still hoping bethesada adds real controller support to the og fallout or re release them on xbox like what was done with wasteland 1
My old ass Xbox 360 Rock Candy controller still works fine today "For the Players"
A pricing error saw players briefly get Forza Horizon 4 and 5 cheaply, but Xbox taking the game back over a week later is a dangerous precedent.
People should be upset about this. I don't care if people bought those 2 Forza games on the cheap. Microsoft made the pricing error for those moments, not the customers. And why wait a full week to finally "decide" to take the games back?
Everyone had a fit when Konami forced Sony to take away P.T. from people's psn accounts. That was FREE and people had a fit. But these Forza games people PAID for and not a peep? That is nonsense.
This is almost as bad as Overwatch 1, a game people paid for deliberately being made to not work anymore for Overwatch 2, even though people PAID for Overwatch 1.
For all the cheerleaders that want a digital only gaming future, this is the start of the reality you want.
Imagine the 'great concern' and aNtIcOnSuMeR comments from the usual suspects if Sony did this lol.
This is the first I'm hearing of this, if true and people paid regardless of price then this is utterly disgusting.
Ms stuffed up that's there problem, not a peep from any media about this either, what a surprise.
Well I think I will cancel my Game pass subscription so they might have saved £79.99 but will lose £131.88 a year due to this poor error on their behalf.
Daily Video Game writes: "If you own an Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One console and are currently looking to pick up new games to play, Xbox Store has numerous games on sale with up to 95% off from several publishers, including Electronic Arts, Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, and more!"
Genuinely thinking of buying an Xbox One for this game.
Best racing game this generation, with the only other one getting consideration would be MK8deluxe and Forza Horizon 3. The games a beast
I am seriously TOO addicted to this game...I can't stop loving it.
love horizon 4, really great arcade racer, but why throw false shade at gt? 8 mill sold isnt a hit? isnt talked about?, so every update hasn't had an article? the live events have had no coverage? its almost 2 years old and is still talked about plenty, doesn't influence petrol heads? what? its still the only racer to make gamers real racers, also the game holds fia tournaments and also broadcasts them regularly for gamers lol, no need to make up falsehoods just to make something thats already good, look even better, it shows a lack of knowledge on the subject you are writing an article on. was a good article other than that though.
This is the best all round arcade style racing game this generation. I say arcade, but that definition is rather fuzzy these days and means different things to different people. Very few games now fall into what was the traditional view of arcade games ported to home platforms. Blurred lines.
The best way to say it for me is this is just the most complete overall racing game this generation. It has a huge, huge amount of content updated weekly. A vast roster of incredible machinery that has grown constantly since launch. Full and in depth tuning for each vehicle equal to many games that claim to be sims. Full and in depth livery customisation equal to games that emphasise this one aspect. An astounding variety of challenges, games, flavours of racing and breadth of environments. Online or offline the options are impressive.
Much of the game is also up to your own preference. In some cases you have to abide by what classes the game demands, but by and large you can race in whatever you like. Feel like Hypercars on an icy rally stage? Fine. Feel like offroad trucks around a circuit? No problem. Want to drag race microcars? Yep.
The visuals and the sound are impeccable. Dynamic weather, night and day, amazing seasonal changes. So much of the world is truly open and destructible, you can plow across miles of fields and fences with little impediment, small barriers and spindly trees snapping into pieces until you finally come across something blatantly more solid.
I have been playing racing games since racing games first became a thing, both at home and in the arcade. This is easily top 3 of any in my long memory of the genre and quite possibly number one.
