They still have a good 5 more years left of expansions on this cash cow. Once this game becomes too underpowered for consoles then it will become a mobile MMO.

Nothing you just said makes any sense! The game will likely long out live the next 5 years, it might not remain the go to mmorpg in terms of popularity as it ages, but it will continue for sure. The Main Story alone is worth a months sub per patch, its actually putting out some of the best rpg in the franchise, the mmo side is optional but worth it still! Just look at FF11. Becoming a mobile MMO wont happen, would need to go through extensive changes I'm sure for that to work which doesn't really make sense. Its a cash cow as its a success, I hope they do invest in offline FF better though with this but again FFXIV really deserves the resources invested I'm sure all the profits have brought :)

This game is one of the best MMO RPGs currently available. It will long out live the 5 years of expansions and people will be playing it for the next 15 years but like everything Square-Enix makes they are going to eventually make another more powerful MMO RPG and the fans will jump ship like the fans who stopped playing 11 once 14 was released. I would expect their next big online Final Fantasy title to happen around the end of the PS5 cycle. Remember FF14 was released in 2010. FF11 was released in 2002 and it had expansions released up until 2015.

Very good dev length for a AAA/AA game I'd say. Companies need to set an aim for this range. 1-2 is too little, I believe 3-4 is perfect. Any more is too much. Games don't need to be these gigantic games full of a crazy amount of content. Just make a good game.

Lol. Had no idea who that was, but I will admit they do look quite similar.

Hideo Kojima calls Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 “ideal” for one key reason

Legendary gaming auteur Hideo Kojima heaped praise on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, calling it “ideal” for one significant reason.

gigoran817h ago

Greatness knows greatness. Simple as that. Expedition 33 is a masterpiece, built with a smaller team and with a smaller budget, blowing ubisoft out of the water. It doesn't matter how many devs you have and how much money you throw at it, great studios like Sandfall Interactive will always overcome you.

Ideal are you opinions being vacant from any discussion that is not about your own cringy universe Hideo.

The master of Vanity Tech Demos is here to tell us what a good game is. ooooh kay. It's pretty dang obvious without your 2 cents desperately needing relevance. This is just like his GTA grovel a while back. Yuck.
