Doesn't really seem like a Souls game. More a Castlevania-esk.

IamTylerDurden12116d ago

Like a Dead Cells-vania. Looks awesome though.

xX-oldboy-Xx2116d ago

DEAD CELLS is a fantastic game, this looks promising.

But it's not procedural either. I'm a fan if Metroidvanias but not so much the brutality of Souls. I am excited for this. It looks solid.

AnubisG2116d ago

It's not on PSN. I just checked.

Platformgamer2116d ago

aaaaw i want to try it.
i'll check the microsoft store too

Neonridr2115d ago

it's possible the demo is only for PC? Shame

Metroidvania Corner: Blasphemous

VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "If you’re looking for a title with exploration, platforming, and some challenging combat, this is a great experience that adds to 2019’s absolutely incredible line-up of releases. The problem is it’s a bad Metroidvania, which is a shame because this is an article series about Metroidvanias. If I do a series on Souls-likes, expect Blasphemous to be at the top of the list, but as far as Metroidvanias go it rates pretty low because it hardly even attempts to be part of the genre."
