Yesterday, Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King was leaked at the GameStop Managers Conference. The collection has now been officially announced, including first details / screenshots.
I’d actually give a hoot if these were remade like Ducktales
I see they are doing with these games what they did with their movies. Re-release and nothing more. I was expecting a full remake to coincide with the remakes the movies got.
Yeah, 1080p my as. Half the screen is a fixed background.
$30. Sometime in October, 1080P visuals. Rewind function for difficulty sake.
Lmao did you see those screenshots? "1080p" visuals bullshit
Expensive for what it is
Just play Kingdom Hearts 2.
Nice multiple versions properly confirmed
I would love a HD port of pinocchio from the mega drive.
Played Pinocchio on snes, easily one of the great classics. I too want it
would have been nice if like ducktales was done. Or that Mickey game and you get these versions too. Also how is it 1080p visuals but it has top and bottom boarders? They clearly just multiplied each axis and called it a day lol. I like these games but it's a pass for me personally unless I can get it for like $5 on steam lol
that's still at least $3 too much for this kind of effort
I can't wait to buy these to give my dad horrific flashbacks to the times he beat both. I sucked - flying carpet was as far as I got in Aladdin and lava level for Lion king.
That flying carpet level used to give me nightmares as a kid...until I got good. Back in the day I guess I was dedicated to playing the few games I had over and over, so I got really good at games that should have been difficult. I never did beat Biohazard Battle though...that's still a personal demon I have yet to conquer. In any case, you probably wouldn't be cut out for the no-apples runs I did with Aladdin where I wouldn't use apples. I probably won't be cut out for that anymore either TBH as I'm finding when I do revisit old games I used to own I'm not nearly as good as I used to be. It will still be a fun nostalgia trip though. I'm also looking forward to finally playing through the Lion King in its entirety as I never owned it personally. A friend had it...on PC of all things, so I got to play up to the stampede level (where my impression was, amazing graphics for the time, but frustrating as heck stage).
Awww, no SNES version of Aladdin?! Bummer :c
It does say "multiple versions", so it seems like both console versions will be included.
This is very lazy. I though it will be done like DuckTales. So, I will pass.
"...the tale of Simba, a lion cub faced with the challenging transition to maturity" Wow, well it's a really hard game about puberty, that's for sure.
I wouldn't pay £10 for this. It looks like a lazy cash grab.
I wanted it till seeing that border. What is that?
I'll be turning off the border and stretching those pixels. I'm not happy about it but, dang it, I love these games.
