At today’s Inside Xbox event at gamescom, PUBG Corp. — the studio behind PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds — dropped a bomb by announcing PUBG cross platform play between the PS4 and Xbox One!

Bethesda just wanted to ride the hate train, they never had anything in place for crossplay despite saying they were testing it or something along those lines

Interesting, but I never see anyone even talk about PUBg on PS4. I wonder how big the player base is, can not imagine it is a lot. So maybe, just maybe this cross play stuff will help this game out a bit longer on PS4.

That's really good news. PUBG must have passed Sony's beta ($$$) program to have crossplay implemented.

I guess that theory might be true if PUBG was dying. Unfortunately we have no way to actually prove if crossplay works for dying games.

The game is dead on console, at least Aussie servers. It just isn't a fun game on console.

I wouldn't say that with any certainty, I don't have trouble playing online. Last time I tried duos in PUBG, it just wasn't happening - that was about 3 weeks ago.

Tried for a good 30 min, that's enough for me - the game can die on console. It's a janky mess at best.
