During Nintendo's Indie World Showcase this week, it was announced that Moon Studios and Microsoft would be bringing over the indie Metroidvania platformer to the Switch.
Yep, the absolute best in its class. Great game, great musical score, great art, great controls - this is my favorite metroidvania class game. So good.
Games amazing, i’m glad others will get a chance to play it. I’m hoping gamepass ultimate will slide onto the switch at some point as well, maybe with xcloud it’ll happen like some rumours suggested before
Absolutely incredible game. It's a matter of time before Rare replay and Conker etc make their way too Switch. As someone who owns a Switch and a One X , I'm extremely excited about this secret new partnership between MS and Nintendo.
It's probably a pipe dream, but Rare Replay with Donkey Kong Country 1-3, DK64 and Diddy Kong Racing (while I'm dreaming, with online racing perhaps?) added to it on Switch would be a dream come true.
I dont think it's a pipe dream at all man, at this stage maybe even an inevitability. Microsoft seems eager to put there content on Switch. Dont be surprised to.see project xcloud take off on Switch and future Nintendo hardware.
Microsoft is the owner and publisher of the Ori series. Microsoft Studios certainly has some say in how Ori is developed, even if they aren't directly involved in the game's development,
Yeah that's true. I think Microsoft own the Cuphead IP and may have helped fund the game, but anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I think due to how successful cuphead was on the switch and the reaction to Banjo they'd definitely be willing to put rare replay on Switch or even sell the IP of banjo who knows
All speculation, guess we'll just have to wait and see
I love this great partnership between Nintendo and MS that put one of my favorite all time side platformers on my current 2nd most played console behind my XB1X. Banjo on Smash was great too and I hope this partnership continue on next gen.
Bought this game twice. Once on Xbox one and again on Xbox one for the definitive version with the new powers. If moon studio / Microsoft want to get me to buy it again they’ll need to release it on PS4 and I’ll buy it.
I have a switch but I’m not a fan of the system and don’t like to play games in it. Maybe in the minority here.
That's fair, but with the right advertising, I'm sure many people would love to play Ori on Switch. It's a tough game, but I'm sure it would be magical to some, especially kids who have never seen anything like it.
This game is a perfect fit for Nintendo Switch.

The game is awesome, I was really hoping the see the sequel this year, but MS continues to disappoint.
Saw that coming
