Why I turned down exclusivity deal from the Epic Store (developer of “DARQ”)

I had no intention of turning this into a news-worthy story, but seeing new articles coming out every day quoting what I said on reddit…

And here Epic is saying they are for the developers/publishers. The fact they won't allow non-exclusive games is really crappy of them. They are only out for themselves to promote their store and could care less about others and a healthy industry.

I'm going to buy DARQ to support the developers for standing up to Epic and their greedy manipulative practices. They deserve a good pat on the back.

Developers get more money when selling on the epic game store. and they want exclusives now to promote their store and set it up for the future. It makes sense though

No other store has needed to buy exclusives to promote their platform, There are plenty of ways to get people on to your store, If Epic just offered free games, like they have been doing there would be a lot more good will around Epic but they didn't they decided to buy their way in to the market, Ofc it was expected to get backlash from the PC community just like when Microsoft tried charging for "Games for Windows Live" because they managed to get away with it with XBOX live on their consoles, Epic are not competing for your money they competing for steams and other platforms money by forcing you to buy through them.

Fantastic game and well worth the price. Puzzles get progressively more challenging. I have yet to find a page journal on any puzzle (one on each puzzle). Great artwork and audio and creepy settings! Day 1 purchase for staying with Steam as well!

I kinda wish more people would support GOG instead of Steam and Epic
