Won’t matter it’s still cool to hate Bethesda and fallout 76 and as long as that’s these big youtubers narrative and making money off the hate there not ever gonna report a peep from them unless it’s somethng controversial or negative about the game despite’s it’s great strides in showing dedication to fix the game a actual road map that exist and that they follow daily and weekly updates and massive interaction with the community and daily fixes but nope BeTHeSDa BaD

Bethesda is not some indie company that is biting more than they can chew. They were fully aware that this project was being rushed, was cheap and also the lies that were being spilled in order to drive those initial sales. They probably wanted a quick buck and F76 is what they came up with. It wasn't a sad case of megalomaniacal ideas like NMS nor was it a case of people actually believing they had a good game when it was actually terrible, like FFXIV. This was a case of feeding the public a cheap subpar game behind a beloved brand and "we see what we can do from there". Keep supporting practices like this, that is exactly what companies like EA with Anthem and Bethesda with F76 want you to do: minimal effort, full price, we fix it later (or not).

LordJamar1710d ago

Gonna be like 6 years later and you types are still gonna be spouting the same crap about fallout 76 and how we should not play the game sick of you types be gone

Nitrowolf21710d ago

I give props to Bethesda for at least supporting/fixing it.
They could have done an EA and let it die like Anthem, but they stuck to their guns to at least try to deliver.

Still inexcusable of that launch

LordJamar1710d ago

That’s all I’m asking for give credit when it’s due

Fluttershy771711d ago

Evolving, like when a game is garbage and a freaking scam at release, but yeah with different patches through the years they make it ok... So yeah, all forgiven right? You can't blame us for trying!

Metalfury1710d ago

bought this game for less than 20 bucks so im glad its getting new updates.

excaliburps1710d ago

Support for it has been amazing so far, to be honest. I mean, Bethesda screwed the pooch at launch, but at least they're trying to fix it compared to other games (cough Anthem).

Or maybe get a new single player Fallout game out so we aren’t waiting until the 2030s

MrBaskerville2d ago

Not gonna happen. Will probably be out 5-6 years after TesVI, which isn't coming anytime soon.

Even if they asked someone else to do a spin-off it would take atleast 5 years from now, if we assume they haven't begun allready. It's weird they didn't atleast attempt to have a game ready for the series launch.

lazyboyblue2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

I heard Microsoft are quite rich. They should spin BGS off into 3 separate full size studios. Then rotate their big 3 ip's between them. So staff don't get bored. Or rotate staff.
Minimum, they need to increase the size of Todd Howards existing team. Like, double at least.

Barlos1d 14h ago

@lazyboyblue I heard this too. I think they've got a couple of quid

Zeref2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

Bethesda is busy with Starfield and then Elder Scrolls 6.

The only other studios that I would trust with Fallout are Obsidian and InXile.
But InXile is busy with Clockwork Revolution and another game that hasn't been announced. Obsidian is busy with Avowed and then they'll do Outerworlds 2.

They'd have to have one of them drop their next project for Fallout. Which imo is not cool. Unless they are willing to do so themselves. Obsidian has expressed interest in Fallout though so who knows.

MrBaskerville1d 23h ago (Edited 1d 23h ago )

Didn't Obsidian at some point state that they were more interested in Outer Worlds than returning to Fallout? And now Avowed is basically their Morrowind set in their own universe. I don't see them returning unless forced, which would probably lead to poor results.

Futureshark2d ago

What, they want the game to be delayed a year and then still release in a half baked state?

Zeref2d ago

Crossplay should be on the top of their list imo

jznrpg2d ago

The last thing any game needs is Phil Spencer’s involvement.

DarXyde1d 9h ago

Indeed.

Phil "Crackdown 2 is shaping up very well" Spencer doesn't exactly have a finger on the pulse. Frankly, I'm not convinced he believes in the pulse.

Let the studios figure it out.

Hofstaderman2d ago

And what exactly are they expecting Phil to do? This man greenlit Redfall. Let that sink in.....He allowed Redfall to release in that state for 70 Dollars.

-Foxtrot2d ago

And was going to do the same with Halo Infinite

Also Crackdown 3

🤷🏻‍♂️

MrBaskerville1d 23h ago (Edited 1d 23h ago )

He didn't greenlight Red Fall. Zenimax did. He could have delayed or cancelled it, but didn't. But then again, they were probably pretty far into the development when he arrived at the scene.

Mr_cheese1d 12h ago

Not delaying or cancelling and instead releasing = greenlight
